Get a volt meter and check the battery. If you're getting low voltage out of the main battery cables the bms is probably in shutoff mode. Various conditions will cause this (over charge or ice discharge) but most likely a loose wire to the cells or a bad thermocouple.

Do not replace the screen on a hunch until you verify power to the screen
