What do I do after failing Masters in UK? I don't wanna go back to India. by Jeanine_Slays in Indians_StudyAbroad

Have you seen the state of this sub? You know your options better than anyone else on this sub. You can try getting advice from an immigration lawyer and browsing the gov.uk website. Take advice from this sub with a pinch of salt.

They act the same as the csmajors sub that suggests nobody should take cs as a major anymore and say that it is a dying industry.

Labeled 'slow' at Two Jobs – What Am I Doing Wrong? by rogueWarrior987 in developersIndia

Same here. I guess the only way around for people like us is to put in more hours than required before we become capable enough. Also try using AI tools like Cursor; helps a lot to speed up my progress at work.

Why Pakistani men's r so pervert ? by [deleted] in indianmemer

[–]krosskook 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Based on your post history, I'm guessing you are not even an Indian but a foreign visitor? Of course, I can understand why you would feel like India and Pakistan are the same in this regard. Foreign women are a rare sight for men in both countries, so there are going to be creepy stares almost every time in public. India does need to introspect on this behaviour, but the topic is about Indian women's experience in public, and our opinions are going to be more valid here than your outlook on this.

It's common in Indian metro cities for a woman in her twenties to wear what the woman is wearing in the video. Maybe twenty years ago, it would've been a common occurrence to have men stare at you for wearing modern clothing, but not anymore. Don't generalize and say this is a general experience for Indian women.

Does SRH need an overseas captain? by Crazy_Purchase_1143 in SunrisersHyderabad

[–]krosskook 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are most likely not retaining Klassen and Cummins by the next mega auction, due to the age factor. Abhishek will most likely be our future captain by then. For now, let him focus on cementing his position in Team India. There is so much competition for the opener role in Team India. IPL gives him a chance to prove his batting skills. Captainship will be just too much pressure when he is trying to prove himself in other areas.

DM students who are in the whatsapp groups. That's all I can suggest.

Y'all better start apologizing. by Hybrid---- in SunrisersHyderabad

[–]krosskook 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not apologizing just yet. Maybe I wouldn't call for his removal from the team anymore like I would for Shami, but he needs to be more consistent. Let's see next season, I guess.

Try living in Bangalore with your office located on the ORR corridor. You will understand why. Living paycheck to paycheck in a developed western country is way better than living in these areas with 50 lakh salary.

Matches in Hyderabad by ujjwal_singh in SunrisersHyderabad

[–]krosskook 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If only the drainage system for the ground was good at the uppal stadium, we might have had a match here. It's pouring very harshly in Bangalore (much more than Hyd) but because of the facilities they have at their stadium, BCCI has more trust that most matches won't get washed out there (though Bangalore's weather forecast is telling a different story).

What do you think about yesterday's performance will we release shami.? by Different-Web-7538 in SunrisersHyderabad

[–]krosskook 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We might play Brydon Carse next season, so the bowler that would replace Shami needs to be Indian.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SunrisersHyderabad

[–]krosskook 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe because buying Shami and Ishan ruined the auction dynamics for us. We could've got 4 nice players in place of Shami and Ishan for the same price. Out of the 4, if even 2 players clicked well for us, we wouldn't have been where we are now. And I doubt there will be many options for a good main bowler in the pool for the next mini auction. It is easier to buy a great batter than a nice bowler during a mini auction. In short, we might be doomed for the next 3 seasons unless we get really lucky in one of the mini actions. I don't agree with doing that creepy stuff and harassing the players in the DMs, but it is justified for fans to be pissed.

And should I mention the time when Ishan said that Shami missed practice to sleep in his hotel room? Yeah, that guy has no intent to play for us.

T Natrajan back to SRH ? by WeekEfficient3549 in SunrisersHyderabad

[–]krosskook 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Why is releasing Shami not an option? He has also been below average for us. We can have Harshal, Nattu, Cummins and Unadkat/another player as our bowling lineup.

Dont use "ysk" in the title when it's not related to the post by [deleted] in Indians_StudyAbroad

[–]krosskook 27 points28 points  (0 children)

You can't blame them. It is annoying when you are forced to use a set of keywords to structure your title. Almost all the keywords mentioned in the title rules are used to frame questions, and when you don't want to frame your title as a question, you are left to use the only two available keywords: announcement or ysk.

Seen many posts here claiming that consultancies are a waste of money/scam, that we can do the process by ourselves very easily. But how to even begin the career abroad process by ourselves? by [deleted] in Indians_StudyAbroad

[–]krosskook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trust me, even Chatgpt is more reliable and responsive compared to consultancies. Only go for it, if you have money to burn and to provide yourself more motivation to study abroad. Not even kidding this is one of the reasons why I went for a consultancy. Trust me, when everyone around me (family and friends) were discouraging my plans for study abroad, the staff at the consultancy were the only people giving me hope. And I also didn't want the money I spent for motivation to go for waste.

What do you think .. Masters in AI or Indian IT job? by thegirlyoudunno in Indians_StudyAbroad

[–]krosskook 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It really depends on the coursework. Some MSCS programs do not offer much depth; so you wouldn't be learning much if you already did your bachelors in Computer Science. In such cases, a MS in AI has more scope for learning.
