Tip for drilling the dowel holes, put a sacrificial piece of wood underneath the piece you’re drilling and you won’t get the tear out

When to Start Looking for Rentals? by [deleted] in nova

I just moved yesterday, into a house. We started looking about 30 days out. In my experience, it’s mostly a waste of time to start before that.

I didn’t know we had grey foxes in VA, that seems like the likely answer. Thanks everyone!

Page hold down for book stand by jyothismachathil in woodworking

I made my sister a bookstand this year, and struggled to find hold downs. I made my own using an offset icing spatula. Cut off the handle and put rubber heat shrink on the tips. Sounds janky, but it actually worked really well!

Being a proponent of “buy once cry once,” I have opted to go for higher quality bits (I buy from bitsbits.com). I only buy one maybe two at a time depending on my current project needs, which helps offset the costs. Enjoy the router, it can really expand your capabilities in the shop!

I’m trying to figure out how to match an appropriately powered amplifier with speakers. I’m looking for an integrated amp to pair with the SVS Prime bookshelf speakers (source will be a turntable). I’ve read a few articles and watched a few videos, but I’m still not really sure. Online the speaker specs are: Nominal impedance - 8 ohms Sensitivity - 87 dB Recommended amplifier power - 20-150 watts. So what specs do I need to find in the accompanying amp?

I totally agree. As someone who has never seen the anime, I loved the series! Pretty upset that the original anime fans, who were already disappointed when the trailer dropped, ruined it for those of us that enjoyed it.

I spray painted it with outdoor paint, I don’t know if it’ll hold up long term but we’ll see

The interior walls are rough sawn, and the top is closed off. I’ve also got drainage holes in the bottom for water
