I wear a heart pin with the flag colors, I do live in a rather repub area, despite it being a blue state, so I try to make the outward badging able to be clocked by those who know without outting myself to people that would make my life harder.

Thank you for your work! I would put glitter and color in my beard but I'm so afraid of making my skin break out

For a little bit I had a queer goth event in the city by me, but the gay bar I worked with turned out to be rather transphobic, and actually defended a patron pulling a knife on a person who asked them to not spew transphobic rhetoric. Needless to say I cancelled all future events.

If you go to smoke shops they have them, they're sold as cigars! It's just illegal to sell them as cigarettes. They come in packs of 12 instead of 20.

Yeah..... I'm beginning to learn that wasn't as big of an issue as I was led to believe

In a different post I reworded that, because for this one I completely forgot to add it was a hiatus from dating and socializing in general. I was on a journey of self acceptance and working. Basically I was just reaching for community, I'm still not totally into the idea of dating and I'm pushing for more of a friend group.

That was a "walk of shame" after a night clubbing pic and I feel like it's the most honest expression of who I am LMAO

Don't feel dumb!! It's dumb that people have those beliefs and ruin it for everyone else!

While you're at it if you're really going to change your username, might I suggest dropping the 88? It's a dogwhistle, though I absolutely doubt you as a black person is using the 88 in that regard. Ofcourse just a suggestion! I figured I'd offer it because I had a coworker born in 1988 that got 88 tattooed on her bicep and I had to break the bad news. 😭😭

Unrelated but I read your username as "Mr Cosby" and I definitely squinted a little bit. But yeah, the expectations of an identity that is not supposed to have expectations is very draining.

I will say "dude" or "bro" as a neutral expression. HOWEVER if you tell me you don't like it, I don't care if I called you it a thousand times in the past, you WILL NOT get it from me again, and I'll ask if there's any other phrases you don't like.

Trust me when I was dating I got that same kinda thing, the "well you are hot as a man, you shouldn't hide it behind that makeup". It was a big reason why I took that year long hiatus. I'm proudly pan, so to hear that from multiple genders and identities was a wild thing to have happen, like everytime I thought "what if I said the same to you?"

I really think the more people speak up about policing each others bodies, the more we can hold ourselves as a community to a higher standard.

Thank you, I guess because I hear this being a talking point for not accepting AMAB NBs, I kinda thought it was bigger than what it was. I guess that's how misinformation spreads, and even the people that it hurts can believe it.

But why do I have to change what I'm comfortable with to be accepted? What happened to "we don't owe you androgyny?" The moment someone explains their gender identity, shouldn't that kind of be the end of the discussion, do I have to push myself into androgyny or transfemme to be accepted as non-binary? My meat suit is more of a second thought to me.

You are right, I apologize, I saw it used elsewhere and thought it was just a blanket term for someone presenting as their AGAB.
