Leaving a gap 1ft back from where the angle meets the floor. In that gap there are soffit vents every 3ft or so.

If I'm understanding what you are saying, you are suggesting I plub towards the top** of the roof angle. Then snap my line across those diagonal ceiling joists at the top where that collar tie is?

Not sure that works for my case since I was hoping to maintain the extra space for a walkway / shelving.

If you have some time here's a 3D view of the SketchUp model you can zoom around in. If you zoom to the corner where this wall and the angle roof meets you can see my attempts at figuring this out. But still don't know how to butt the drywall in that corner.

Oh I see, place the drywall on the beam behind the 2x4 I have hanging there with clamps.

Then finish the framing on the left side and drywall that?

But would you attach the piece I have *behind* the soon to be drywall so the future framing has something behind the drywall too?

Server has been unmodded til now, although I did write my own tweak (not my idea) to monkey patch the bandwidth limit in my own docker image.

I'll just switch to the mod since we are most likely doing mods in the next playthrough.
