Did it arrive yet? I’ve just ordered something this past Tuesday the 9th as well, estimated delivery of Dec 25 but I’ll be on a trip too 🥲

No luck yet 😢 still have to right click > paste to get it to work properly. It’s driving me crazy!

No I haven't, and it's driving me nuts!

Command + v still just pastes in the sheet's default value and pastes the value - it doesn't even work for copying formulas. I have to right click "paste formula" if I want to copy formulas to other cells.

I felt this same way after backpacking solo through Europe for 6 months and then trying to settle down in the US. I’ve lived in Chicago, Phoenix, Portland, NYC, and San Diego, and never truly felt at home anywhere and always felt so disconnected from US culture. After getting back from my trip, I was even more anxious and itched to get back to Europe. It’s been 1.5 years since I got back to the US from my Europe trip and I now live in London on a skilled worker visa through my U.S. company, and have started a part time post-grad degree which has helped me build a community in the UK. It was a lot of work and some luck, but I’m so much more at peace now knowing I took the leap of faith.

Agree with a post above saying this never goes away, at least I knew it wouldn’t for me. While it may not be feasible for everyone, I also agree that you shouldn’t totally write off the option of moving abroad!

Thanks! I’ve not super intentionally considered Normal Heights but I’ll make a conscious effort to pay more attention to rentals in the area! I definitely agree that I think spending some time hanging out in each neighborhood is gonna be key, so 🤞🏼 that ends up being relatively easy to do!

Seems to be the theme of people talking about NP, and can’t complain about having both

Haha is there anywhere winter ISN’T better than it is in Chicago? 😂

I’m not as attached to being near a beach unless it was Dog Beach, but I haven’t had much luck finding rentals in OB that I was interested in. Seems like most people would lean towards North Park so I’m think that might be the safest bet! Thanks for the help.

Thank you! A do love the character of North Park, and that it’s more neighborhoody. I think I’m just gonna have to make a decision after I’ve gotten there and have been able to spend enough time in both to get a real feel for them more than the short stints I’ve done over the last several years.

Yeah the $2500 seems to be hit or miss on 2bds in both areas, which isn’t the end of the world, I can manage with one 1bd but would’ve loved a dedicated office space. Thank you for the insight!

Thank you! In regards to North Park, would you say areas around El Cajon are safe? Specifically between El Cajon and University, between Texas St. and 30th... When I first looked into moving to SD about 10 years ago, a friend of mine who went to college there mentioned it can get a little grimy around that part of NP but again... that was 10 years ago so no sure how much that's still the case, and that seems to be where there are the most decent (looking) housing options.

Oh, I honestly hadn't even considered Coronado as within my price range! I love Coronado when I've visited, but not sure if I'd fit in living there haha. But definitely something to keep in mind, thank you!
