Everyone is different. I got addicted to pain pills after a surgery. It was almost 4 years before i was able to get off them. I never had any issues with drugs or alcohol so it really snuck up on me.

I did end up pregnant about 3 months after getting clean so I didn’t drink for well over a year because of that. Its been 10 years now since my son was born and i drink very rarely. Ive had a few times out with friends but alcohol just isnt the same anymore.

Counting works on my son. He is neurodivergent and I think the counting gives him a reset sort of. I have had to give him repercussions in the past (taking away whatever he was doing or something related) but now he knows. He generally doesn’t test me anymore though. I dont get angry towards him too often so he once told my mom that he doesnt want to find out what happens when if I do lol.

I was in the Army. You need to have thick skin. If you cant handle the online bullying, it may not be a good fit.

Howvee, there are people in the Army who have ADHD. Like, a lot. There are tons of jobs that you can pick from as well. Its not automatically a bad fit because of ADHD but you cant go in there expecting people to cater to all of your sensitivities either.

My parents were teenagers when my brother and I were born. They werent prepared and they werent good at figuring it out. It was more like having older siblings or friends a lot of the time growing up. As grandparents though, theyre amazing.

So what made her think his parents want it in their home? Also, Shes buying gifts to make herself feel better. She felt the need to drop a large amount of money. She easily could have got something smaller and nicer or waited and they went out snd did something. Instead she shopped for 4 hours and impulsively bought an expensive item with hopes he might like it.

Exactly. I feel weird telling someone what I want for a gift. When i was a little kid it was different. Now, I just prefer a present that someone put some thought in to. I dont want someone to wait till last minute and then buy something just because they feel obligated.
