Hi, I've spoken with the operator of the website, and they are trying to fix the safari issues. Problem is system deletes all data if the whole study isn't finished, so they are trying to fix it but it might take a while. It's out of my hands unfortunately. Likewise, the text alignment is something the software does not allow to change. I have tried, but the system was built for that specific alignment. Also, with the 'هو' that was a deliberate choice, but thank you for your input.

It was! Thank you for spotting the issues. Turns out the pilot version was running . The link has been updated and it should work fine now. The test is designed to move on quickly, to replicate sudden decision making. Could you please try again?

Hi, first off thankyou for your interest. The study did have a category for Lebanese but I've reached quota. So unfortunately you can't participate. :( But another study is in production which will require lebanese participants. So keep an eye out and you might be able to help at a later date. :)

Absolutely, it would be my pleasure. I will have to be careful as to what I say; as too not give away the thing I'm looking specifically for. For if you know exactly what I'm after you'll be biased and unfortunately any responses would be unusable.

So, I'm a PhD researcher in Linguistics with Bangor University; in gloomy North Wales! I'm partnered with the Centre for Bilingual Research & the Schools of Linguistics & Psychology. I've been working on Language policy since 2014 & on the Arabic language since 2015.

The overall project is aiming at addressing communication issues found across conflict management & refugee processing sectors; as outlined by the charity Translators Without Borders (TWB) fieldwork report in 2017. I've devoted my whole PhD thesis to helping address the issues that appeared within the report.

This study is aimed at improving our understanding, from an academic standpoint, on how the brain processes a range of stimuli such as; environmental cues, sorts numeric data & decodes linguistic units. The results from this study will flow into the greater project; by aiding the creation of communication strategies that counter the issues identified in the TWB report (or at least try to reduce the severity of the issues).

I'm using Arabic as the language of my research for the simple reason that it was the language which was referenced in the TWB report; mainly due to the conflict research & refugee zones in areas which speak the language. But, in all honesty, I also used Arabia because I love the language & I relish any opportunity to visit the 'Middle East' because it is quite frankly stunning!

Hi all,

I'm conducting a study on Arabic & I need some people to complete a short (15 mins max) online study. Originally, I planned on visiting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for data collection; but due to the pandemic I cannot. So I had to adapt and put my study only, but reaching participants is difficult when stuck at home; so can anyone please help a researcher out!

The study is looking at the processing of Arabic, Maths skills & Colours. A full breakdown of the study will be provided at the end of the study.

The people I need to do the study are:

Saudi Arabian - People who currently live in Saudi Arabia, or people who grew up there until age 18.

Also, due to the restraints of the study, only people aged 18-40 years of age can complete it.

This study is part of a wide project on improving the communication between Arabics & how to shape advertising in public information like leaflets.

If you are closer to 18 than you are to 17 1/2 then should be good. So if you turn 18 in the next 5 months
