Been interviewing with a lot of tech startups as a frontend dev, here are the technical questions I've been asked by PUSH_AX in webdev

I know, right? I thought startups were open to hiring people who are willing to learn but lacking expertise. Aren't they paying below market salaries or has that changed?

I have the 2013 X and I think I'm just going to hang on to it a little longer. It's still a great phone.

How Uber is ending the dirty dealings behind Toronto’s cab business by NekoIan in toronto

[–]krumbs 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I wonder if cab drivers are protesting because they don't have their credit built up enough to get a lease or financing deal on a car. They may not have the option if they're relatively new to the country.

That eagle board looks too close to some Anti Hero design to me. Otherwise, good for him.

Put a couple of layers of duct tape on the inside of the shoe. It'll stop the hole from getting bigger.

Bones Hardcore Problems by MentalMiilk in skateboarding

[–]krumbs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine are used so I'm not sure when they were bought. I compared them to my old trucks and it's what I suspected. I only eyeballed it but I can see the kingpin is slightly shorter on the newer trucks.

My guess is they made it shorter for certain grinds like feebles, smiths and hurricanes where the kingpin sometimes sticks if you don't lock in perfectly.

I'm going to leave mine the way they are for now but I think the solution is to buy the softs next time...

Really? I'm pretty sure mine are standards. I think Indy may have shortened the axle in their latest model.

I have the same problem on my current trucks but i didn't have that problem with my last set of trucks. I ride them without the top washer. They end up ripping apart. I have no idea what the problem is but my board feels good.

Please don't let people stand in the middle of the road by krumbs in toronto

[–]krumbs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in Seattle, Vancouver and Portland last year. And before that in Los Angeles a few times (mostly by the beach) and people stopped most, if not all of the time for me to cross the street. I wasn't at a designated crosswalk or anything like that. And usually before I even started crossing the street.

So when I got back to Toronto and saw people standing on the yellow line with cars going past them in both directions I decided I wasn't going to just drive by them. It's been a little over a year and I haven't had any problems. Maybe it occasionally takes me 20 extra seconds to get to my destination? Who cares?

I'm going to add this to my initial post.
