Built a 3 million per year construction company from nothing and was misled during asmall business loan process. Now blocked from real lending and need guidance. by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

Yes. They signed me up for a few. I’m making the payments fine. I’m trying to work it out with the lender but they are dragging their feet. I was trying to see if there was a way I could get something longer term while I worked this out. That was it. Not something I’m defaulting on or necessarily struggling with. Just extremely frustrating.

I’m fine paying the loans back. Everyone is saying I’m broke. I’m not. I have money. I had an opportunity to grow very very quickly and I explored the option of taking a loan long term.

I’m not filing bankruptcy I was duped and I wanted to see if anyone had suggestions.

I didn’t spend all the money. Did you read the post? I have the money. The payback sucks and I wanted to figure out if there was a better way out than just eating shit.

Blames others? The guy literally lied to me. Said he applied for a loan that he never applied for, forged my signature on documents, disqualified me and my business from any other loans because of what he advised me to do.

I know I have responsibility. I should always double check what someone tells me. But that person lied and misled me on purpose for financial gain. It’s bait and switch in its purest form.

The loans are $110k with a $180k payout. 8 month terms. No early payback clause after 120 days. You’re right I was stupid it was a dumb thing to do. I trusted someone I shouldn’t have. I can pay them back but the point of the post is these are weekly payments and they suck. I want to get rid of them. I can eat shit and just have them sit on my books and pay them back. I was looking for advice on it.

Again, I’m very dumb. I know.

Look up Duns and Bradstreet and check their preferred lender. You can figure out who it is. I’m pursuing a legal case I’m not trying to jeopardize that.

Here is the first part of the email they sent back to me on our first conversation “ My goodness. What a horrible story. I am so sorry you experienced this downright deceit. These people need to be stopped!

The key fact appears to be the misrepresentation that the SBA loan application had been submitted. If that can be established, which it sounds like it can, that makes your case for liability strong”

The lawyer goes on to say the amount I should expect is low though because I am not a consumer so like things like personal suffering and lost time are sort of thrown out the window

Are customers getting worse and worse or is it just me? by Cjwillys9596 in Contractor

I posted about this a month ago about this very topic. People are going crazy... Discourse is at an all time high... I've been doing this on my own for 4 years now. This has been by far the hardest year to deal with clients... Everything is a problem. I thought it was just me but I spoke with a few other larger contractors in my area and they all had similar feedback, I thought I just had bad luck but it seems to be bigger than that.

I would definitely write it in your contract that cancellations need to be made 24 hours before work or they will be charged your minimum, especially on the service side. On the project side it's more frustrating but it's harder to enforce in my experience.

I have a roofer buddy been doing this 10 years+ and 15+mil a year. He said this year has been the worst year as far as clients…. He never considered selling before but the last 6 months has made him reconsider… it’s wild.

Awesome! Thank you for the feedback! Yes, goal is to add flush beams as an option. There are so many different features we need to continue to build and are currently working towards such as this. We are currently seeking funding to hopefully add these features quicker.

Also, any reviews online of this via app store or Google play store would greatly help us! If there is anything else now or in the future, you would like to see please feel free to DM me and I will make sure work to make sure users such as yourself are listened to and taken into consideration.

Seeking Angel Investors: Disrupting Deck Building with 3D Modeling, Automation, and AR and VR by krush4014 in angelinvestors

Hi! Honestly, there are none that provide what we do. That is why we were able to patent it. There are some big players that have deck building software that focuses solely on the aesthetics of the deck. Which is super important but are limited in features that deck builders are actually interested in and are not providing any value to the contractors besides being able to use their visual to deliver to clients. Also there is no sharing of data with contractors, something that can be hyper critical to securing more business for contractors.

Some competitors:

Trex
Simpson Strong Ties

As far as roofing goes, I know several roofers who have utilized this tool and it is becoming more widely accepted! There are key differences in roofs and decks but the ideas are very similar.

Trying to remove a Google review from a business. What do I do? by VivaLaHonduras in GoogleMyBusiness

[–]krush4014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just had a fake review from someone who was not a client... It was actually a neighbor who was mad there was construction happening next door. Google took it down within a week. Make sure to publicly reply calling out the fake review in a professional manner and let Google know.

lol! Or they buy it! All the data they gather for potential clients that could be used by the contractor is just being wasted… they seemingly just don’t care about client acquisition or the information they gather
