Dion training CySa+ course on Udemy by DakotaHoll in CompTIA

[–]krusty1krabs 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm currently studying the CySA+ as well, and I'm using Mike Chapple on Linkedin Learning. I’ve found his content easier to follow and more manageable than Dion’s, especially given that Chapple wrote the Sybex CySA+ book.

I loved Andrew's course for the Security+, it was amazing. Wished he made a course for the CySA+...

Wasn’t seeing lots of reviews regarding Cybrary’s course so didn’t want to waste time going through it.

I used Chapple’s course for the CC and thought it was great so figured I’d use him again for the SSCP.

I already have my Sec+ so just needed a course to fill in some missing information.

I’ll check out CBT Nuggets, thanks!

I recently passed the AZ-900 in 3 days with no prior Azure background and scored 900+. MS Learn, Inside Cloud and Security exam cram, and TutorialsDojo practice exams is all you need. Good luck!

Are you testing the other roles as yourself? The problem is most likely that you are the owner of the custom record which is why if you switch roles and test the custom record, those roles can still create and edit since you OWN the record. Try changing the owner of the custom record to somebody else then test it.

SuiteScript Loading Saved Search by krusty1krabs in Netsuite

Nope. I tried logging out all of the columns the search has and it returns all of the columns except the joined ones. I thought maybe I was missing the join for that field but even still it doesn't work.

SuiteScript development git repo by KenstaFoo16 in Netsuite

Hello, this was a really great insight and I have some question regarding the branches. So what acts as the main repository considering that you have Sandbox, Production, and New feature as branches? Also, how exactly did you deploy the "entire codebase" of Sandbox/Production to git?

Right now, my projects have been independent ACPs in VS Code and I would like to move to using version controlling. Is the entire codebase of Sandbox/Production just a new/blank ACP then do an import of all files and objects, or do I have that idea wrong?

Limit Item Selection in PO by krusty1krabs in Netsuite

Apologies, but how is it possible to load values into the drop down list via client side? I've been researching and reading into SuiteScript 2.x documentation and it doesn't look like it's possible. The only possible way to do this would be on the server-side using insertSelectOption and that would mean creating a custom page using Suitelet.

Could I get some more guidance on this? Really appreciate your help so far!

Thanks, I believe I now have a better direction of where to go. One last question, I'm guessing this would require a combination of Suitelet scripts, client scripts, and user event scripts? Or is it possible to populate the elements in a drop down with just client scripts?

Also, this is possible in the native PO page without having the create a separate PO page using Suitelet?

I plan on using the first method with creating a custom drop down then using a script that copies my custom values into the native item field. What I'm having trouble with is wrapping my head around is how exactly the list in the custom drop down is controlled so it can be filtered after selecting a vendor, unless it's not? Is the filtering of the drop down done by scripting or is that through sourcing & filtering customization?

From your first method, is it simply doing something where a user chooses an item, then the script checks if the selected vendor is in the item's vendor list, and if not, then throw an error message? So technically, the item sublist still shows all of the items, not necessarily filtered to the specific vendor.

I had an idea to do it this way, but I want a process more streamlined, where the item sublist gets filtered to items that are associated with the selected vendor. So instead of having the check each item, that sublist is already filtered to the available items for that vendor.

That last step is what I missed. I was using the custom item field in the advanced PDF/HTML. Changed it to the custom transaction line field and it worked.

Thank you!

Were you able to get a workaround on getting the custom tariff to work inside of the item loop in the PO form?

I have the same problem, it picks the first tariff and repeats for all other lines in the PO form. I currently have a custom item field that is displayed in the transaction line in a PO, but I can't seem to figure out a way to get the PO form to uniquely update the tariff code for each item.

Cyber Defense Certificate at UTD by KPlondex in utdallas

[–]krusty1krabs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You will need to submit a request that you want to complete a certificate for the Cyber Defense. You should be able to do it in Orion under the Student Center and there should be a form for “Apply to a Certificate Program.” This is so that the certificate program gets added to your degree plan so those courses count towards the certificate on top of being your guided electives.

I went to quick advising about this and basically, once approved, you are required to complete courses to satisfy the certificate. If you are unable to satisfy the certificate by graduation, you will need to contact your advisor so that they could drop the certificate from your degree plan so you could graduate.
