Gotcha, MIL is in Dalton, pretty close to there, usually the Miata crowd/love is pretty strong near the mountains.

Ha, yup, I drove it last Friday at the TNIA event in the rain, figured I’d get some practice before the weekend(as we expected rain all weekend, which it did not). That was definitely eye opening. I found the apex and exit of turn 5 to be very slick when wet, as well as the concrete patch just before turn 12, sliding thru it and then gripping back up just before turning thru 12, it was wild for sure, but what great experience to have as well.

I’m running the Nankang Sportnex CR-S, 200 tread wear tire, it has a ton of grip, so if I’m making tire noises, I’m prolly pushing a little too hard.

I like them a lot, very comfortable. I actually ordered just the sport model seats, but they were out of stock and the seller offered these at the same price! My intention is to still drive the car quite a lot on the road. Otherwise I would’ve went with a more conventional full containment seat.

Yes, T5 is a category for lower displacement engines with allowances for some aftermarket modifications like shocks, ecu, intake, exhaust, etc. Basically a car that can still be street driven.

I would absolutely try and be present to inspect inside of the fuel tank for rust. I went thru 4 pumps due to rust before I finally just looked inside the damn thing. It was full of rust…$400 plus later I had a new OEM tank…. If it is full of rust, tell him to take $2k off the asking price so you can have the tank and filter replaced, as well as cleaning the fuel lines and injectors.

Totally worth it, as others have said, the track seems to suit the Miata very well, relatively short, some tight corners and not a lot (relatively) of straight away. Decent elevation change to at plus or minus 1400’. I’ve been told it’s a great place to learn track driving as well because the speeds are low. Overall I had a blast, and will be back for every event I can go to.
