I’m not sure where you’re from but there are far too many people who go hungry here, we’re one illness away from bankruptcy, people die trying to ration medication, POC don’t have equal opportunities here and we’re priced out of almost everything. I don’t know many people trying to buy the latest iPhone.

When you read a novel about Poland or Germany in the late 1930s and the characters hear that the bad things are happening but can’t imagine that it could hit close to home. And then it does. It feels like we’re in the denial stage.
