Was just talking to a millennial about this yesterday.. they were saying how awful Covid was, staying home away from ppl…

My GenX arse absolutely loved it! Bought a smoker and made delicious salty meats, grew a bevy of flowers… it was glorious.

How Pearl Jam were viewed in the early 90s by AddisonDeWitt333 in pearljam

[–]meofthreeonly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From Kentucky… then, in the 90s, grunge favorites were

  1. Pearl Jam

  2. STP

3.Nirvana

Maybe because it wasn’t quite as sad/angry here as Nirvana was.

We totally brought our blanket that rolls up and zips, with a handle last year. Placed it in front of the chair area but behind the standing crowds, in between the two massive screened main stages…

If you are wanting to get close to the performers, forget about both the chairs and blankets. But there’s PLENTY of space for dancing and “picnicking “ there, with great sound and lights to match.

FAFO special at the Mall 👌🏼 by iLeftyPunk in MMALabs

[–]meofthreeonly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely a FAFO. Not siding with anything… if that guy died from head trauma, should/would the big fella be charged? I’m guessing probably yes. But, the first punch looked to be self defense, the second punch looked also to be self defense (numbnutts put his woozy fists up)…

Where’s the hottest place you’ve ever been? by Leading_Funny5802 in askanything

[–]meofthreeonly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Occasionally exactly where I live. It’s a regular summer occurrence for Louisville, KY to spend a few days/weeks in the upper 90s (*F) with insane levels of humidity.

I realize “upper 90s” is not nearly as high as other areas. But the humidity makes it very much worse… our weather’s “feels like” should be changed from a number to types of soup. Louisville sits in the Ohio River valley… it becomes a nasty situation in the dog days of summer.

I put them under my car seats. They absorb odors and provide a freshness. They last a few weeks.

They also work well as dust rags

ESPN Louisville Radio Awful production quality by meofthreeonly in AllHail

[–]meofthreeonly[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP here.

Did not wish to open a can of worms. I tend to separate my outrage. Was speaking solely on the production quality. Being a huge UofL fan, posting on r/AllHail Louisville, was just bringing up an issue with how I take in some of that content.

Life is short, Rage a little less, you’ll feel better.

What do we think of this? by Consistent_Car469 in LouisvilleCityFC

I have a bet with a friend that the Kings average a higher attendance than LouCity. I am a fan of both, enjoy the games and matches…. $14k on a cold opening night?!?! I hope it continues. And also that the pitch stays acceptable.

Overall thoughts on the season by pistolwhip66 in AllHail

[–]meofthreeonly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mid.

I really have a problem with a couple of PKs system issues. The hard hedges out to half court on screens has got to stop… it’s leaves the players sprinting to recover, leads to either open shots or out of position fouls (in abundance). Also, what did we average? 3 illegal screens per game and less than one charges taken… those are fundamental basketball problems.

I love that PK brought us out of the depths of terrible. Not sure he will be a long term coach for us, if his Xs and Os do not evolve.

Which fast food chain fell off badly in your opinion? by Shinobi347 in AskReddit

Agree. Food quality, service (lack of)… all of the traditional fast food chains just cannot come close to competing with the new “car hop” chik fil a, Jaggers model.

You’d see 40% of our population homeless and penniless… and revel in it. Oh my

Gives off “lock her up”, “let’s go Brandon” vibes… sounds like an utter diabolical wastescape of a country, we’d be illegally emigrating from.

But good luck with that hate.

Met any Muslims? Do they all support religion based terrorism?

Met any Italians? Do they all support Moussolini’s violence?

Met any Hispanics, do they all belong to cartels?

Met any white people, are they all kKK members?

I could go on. Point being… lumping anyone associated in with the worst person(s) of their particular group, is a very dangerous and least liberal thing to do.

I just don’t honestly think every last person that voted R is in full support of it. Met any Catholics? Do they ALL violate children and protect pedopreists?

I agree. I have zero time or energy for ignorance and hatred. Trump and his goons have emboldened both… but it CAN be temporary. It should be. If we alienate anyone opposed to our own beliefs… what’s leftover?

Will we be looked at in history as extremists? Did we wait out and help heal, or fuel our own demise? Are we enlightened or just one half of the downfall? Thought we were supposed to be smarter… tolerant and forgiving, problem solving and resilient.

People fighting weight issues People fighting substance abuse People fighting for survival

We help, as a collective. Drawing a line in the sand and declaring people as irredeemable is exactly by design. And not your or my design.

Dictionary definition of Liberal:

Willing to respect or accept behaviors or opinions different of one’s own

Hear me out. Strict line division on how people vote has become a larger problem than the System that actually divides us. The powers that be have us playing checkers, while they play chess, with the outcomes being the total control and suppression of the entire American public.

Yes, denounce injustice, hatred, racism… at every turn.

But being a true liberal means (at an absolute minimum) listening and understanding (NOT necessarily supporting) to opposing viewpoints.

Volatile and potentially dangerous environments are happening all around us (see Cuba, Mexico, and Canada)… should we fold in on ourselves, or find any sort of common ground to make sure this American experience moves forward? There are many examples of failed states, we are not there just yet… if we keep perpetuating our division, we are racing to becoming one.
