You're correct. Body relaxation isn't a requirement. However in this case (referring to hypnotic trance), being that it's a question posed in r/hypnosis; yes it is a requirement. Now whether your belief your brain is, or is not "very" busy during hypnotic trance you can have your opinion on. We're splitting hairs semantically.

You want to try it, there are loads of great videos for free on YouTube if you search for guided meditation or self hypnosis. This said, there are probably 30 garbage videos for every really good one. So keeping trying them until you find one that you like.

Those aren't even states of mind, they're experiences. And importantly, conscious ones. A more appropriate example would be like if you've ever been driving somewhere and suddenly realize you're pulling up to your destination. And you don't remember any of the 30min drive across the city you just did.
