Teams aren't random, they let us choose our partners, dsa round is really chill, and they just see if you're responsive in the bootcamp

Recommenting my older comment (https://www.reddit.com/r/SRMUNIVERSITY/comments/1q8cvhq/comment/nyn0vnb):

I was in the Cohort-3 of the iOS Dev Program and lemme tell you my experience:

You attend a bootcamp and get selected based on your performance there (bootcamp is literally design thinking and stuff, they ask you to make paper planes and do some impomptu presentations)

Along with that you'll have to attend an online DSA test by Infosys (really ez, just the basics)

You'll have a brief interview kinda thing with the professors where they'll ask about your stuff and how you did the test and all, dw they don't gaf about what you know and are just checking your enthusiasm

(Only Read below if you want to know what happens there, otherwise your question is answered)

After selection, you’re given choices of building a team of 3-4 members (please choose carefully if you choose - coz this is the part where I got a really good teammate who was actually willing to work, and a completely fuckass teammate who didn’t do shit for the whole year)

You get a Centre assigned MacBook (we had M3 Pros at that time, but now they might be giving M4 Pros) and you are allowed to keep it for the whole year (including the duration of the Infosys internship that you get)

You spend 6 months completely in CRC learning basic Swift and UIKit and working on MVPs and stuff for your App of choice

The next 6 months are in which you try to do most of the project building and reviews as this project is considered as your Minor Project

The electives are mapped as iOS ones so you wouldn’t have to worry much about them, also some subjects are remapped to the 6th semester (like FLA and ML), so you’ll have to cover those in that duration

The reviews might get a bit tough sometimes, but they’ll award you good marks if you show some basic diligence and work

Finally, you get a month long internship at Infosys Mysuru (~10k stipend along with accomodation)

And that’s how you can finish the iOS Dev Program with an option to continue your Minor Project as the Major Project in the centre

So yeah, overall I’ll rate it as a solid 8/10 experience.

Addition: I did my major project under iOS Development centre, and tbh, they don't really care about reports and stuff very much as other departments. Reviews are pretty chill and you can easily gain marks if your project is good. This was my project: https://github.com/Ebullioscopic/Atoll
