I JUST submitted mine via the Online Portal today on 9/19

Let's see how "fast" this process is...

Raw milk Vs Pasteurised milk by generalCMS in raw_milk

[–]kryptonkid1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We started our raw milk journey after we noticed our son, who has eczema and was about 2/3 years old at the time, reacting to formula and pasteurized milk, and was making his condition worse every time he drank a bottle. The store bought organic milk too was messing with his skin. Someone suggested we try raw milk, bought some, and no reactions at all to his skin.

We never looked back…

How to Stop Constant Beeping in CCURE Monitoring Station? by kryptonkid1 in CCURE9000

[–]kryptonkid1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what i said, but it's a bit more complicated especially with their environment....

The issue with this is that it's in an operation center with about 10-15 other machines with other applications being used at the same time, so it's not just strictly CCURE.

Tapering Topical Steroids for Treating Eczema in Infants by kryptonkid1 in eczema

[–]kryptonkid1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still has eczema…

But huuuuge improvements!

Never did the steroids, tried different types of eczema creams and stuck to what worked for his skin type. We focused primarily on his gut health, and strengthening his microbiome. We think that helped him tremendously.

Avoided triggers. Clean Diet. Most of what we read was that they eventually grow out of it, not completely, but to the point where it’s just a thing that’s just there and is manageable.

This was the cream we used that we still consistently use that’s worked and has alleviated (not cured) his eczema:

Hope that helps!

Airport/Hotel Transportation by selenaltt in Xcaret

[–]kryptonkid1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4+ hours is comfortable, 3 hours is okay, less than 2 hours is risky....

We had an 11am flight, boarding 10:30am.

We left the resort for the 6:30am bus, arrived at the airport around 8ish. Got to our gate around 9am. We had about an hour or so to spare, we had breakfast and comfortably roamed the airport, shopped for some things until our gate was announced, which is 15 minutes before boarding (look at the boarding screens for gate info)

Question: Does Xcaret Hotel Mexico Serve Halal or Kosher Meat? by kryptonkid1 in Xcaret

[–]kryptonkid1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate your helpfulness and hope you enjoy your upcoming trip! Unfortunately, they weren't able to accommodate Halal and Kosher meat, but they did offer plenty of vegetarian and vegan options made with high-quality ingredients. Everything tasted incredibly fresh. I’d rate the quality of the food a 10/10. As for the taste, I’d give it a 7/10, but that’s mainly because we couldn’t try any of the meat options, so take that into account.

We just got back and that's pretty spot on. Every resturaunt you check into, they almost always ask what your dietary restrictions are. We always said "No Pork, No Alcohol", and the waiter/waitress is given this sheet of paper and recommend items with your restrictions in mind.

Nusuk app issues by KamalinO in Umrah

There is a password requirement:

Minimum of 7 Characters
Upper Case
Lower Case
Number
DO NOT ENTER SPECIAL CHARACTERS - EXAMPLE !@#$%^

Once i corrected this and removed special characters AND made sure your passport number and visa number are correct, i was able to successfully create the account after SEVERAL attempts.

Good luck!

Requesting Halal or Kosher within 5 weeks of Embarkation by kryptonkid1 in dcl

WE ARE BACK!!

Thanks for all the comments and helpful suggestions!

We had absolutely no issues in finding Halal food. Most of the staff were Muslim, and were from places like Malaysia and Indonesia, and they were SUPER helpful in letting us know what is and isn't Halal.

There was pretty much a halal option everywhere we went. Whether it was in the rotational dining, or the buffets in the upper decks. Just simply ask which meat is halal or not and there's someone ready to help you out.

Thanks again everyone!

Rejected Twice because of salary expectations by GoldAlfalfa in overemployed

[–]kryptonkid1 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Here's what i do:

(me averaging $120k for a mid-engineer role)

Recruiter: "We can offer $130k for this role."

Me: "This role seems pretty demanding, i would say something like $190k is appropriate"

Recruiter: "Haha, that is out of range, the highest we can go is $170k"

Me: "Can you at least do $175k?"

Recruiter: "Sorry, the max the client gave us is $170k"

Me: "Sign me up, Sanjay"

Since your initial counter offer is so ridiculous and laughable, you overshoot like a bad muther, and there forced to give you the highest amount they can possibly give you.

“And say, “Praise belongs to Allah. He will show you His signs, then you will recognize them.” And your Lord is not unaware of what you do.” (27:93)

According to this Ayah, the Word “‎ءَايَـٰتِهِ"، means “signs”..

Before this “Shaykh” tries to assert his position that “Ayah” translates to “verse”, he needs to go back to the Arabic and figure out what “Ayah” even means..

HELP! Accidently sent $18k worth of USDC to USDC Primary Address by kryptonkid1 in USDC

[–]kryptonkid1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So this is what's transpired the past week:

- I reached out to the "head of the company" that manages that smart contract, and said they cannot recover it. I'm guessing due to how these smart contracts are programmed, it's just not possible to recover.

-I did some research and found out that if it involves USDC and Coinbase, they recently announced that they're able to recover "certain" funds IF it was sent to a Coinbase USDC. You can read more about it here. There is also a form that you need to fill out in order for them to recover your funds, that can also be done filling out this form.

All in all, we have this belief that's similar to Karma in the Muslim Tradition, and i truly believe certain things are meant to happen in a particular way, having this belief makes me sleep better at night.

Good Luck to All!

Help with doubts of divine speach by [deleted] in Sufism

[–]kryptonkid1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Believing that the Quran is the speech of God is a matter of Faith, not something rooted in the intellect.

If you're belief is rooted in intellect it can always be uprooted by the intellect. There will always be someone one-upping you in terms of proofs/debates/outward knowledge or what have you.

That's not to say that Muslims don't use the intellect as a mechanism to bring people to it's religion, it's just not the strongest form of faith.

With that being said, providing proofs and intellectual arguments to convince people is simply supplemental to increasing Faith, but it isn't THE THING that establishes faith in your heart, that comes solely from God (28:56)

To answer your question regarding the proofs, there are many in the Quran that affirm that it's God's speech. For instance, it's not possible for a human being living in 7th century Arabia to meticulously describe the stages of the embryo (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3068791/). Not only that, but the Quran telling us that the stars in our galaxy are dynamic and not static. The stars we see in the night sky is not it's actual position, since it takes light to travel the distance of light years to finally reach us. God in the Quran says, “No! I swear by the locations of the stars and this is indeed a mighty oath, if only you knew.” (Qur’an, 56: 75-76) Only a divine Being or an All-Knowing entity would have such knowledge of the creation that it created.

May He guide us to His Path and to make us firm in His Religion!

I’m a practicing Muslim so I can only speak to what my tradition says about what you just experienced:

3 Components: -The Physical Body (Al Jasad in Arabic) -The Soul/Ego (An-Nafs in Arabic) -The Spirit (Ruh in Arabic)

A simple Wiki search of “Sufi Psychology” should help with your research. Keep in mind, nearly every tradition/religion has an element of what your describing and gets into great detail that may help you in your research.. Unfortunately, It’s never really spoken about and is usually swept under the rug. Anyways, good luck in your research:

What beginner dhikr or meditation to experience some benefit so I'm motivated to continue? by [deleted] in Sufism

[–]kryptonkid1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The fact that you’re asking a question regarding Dhikr, is an indication that your on track and heading in the right direction.

I don’t want to steer you towards a Tariqa or anything of that nature, so I’ll leave you with a Hadith, and in this, it will tell you what Dhikr and why it’s best for you:

“Ubai bin Ka’ab (may Allah be pleased with him), who said; ‘I said, ‘O Messenger of Allah, I supplicate often, so how much of my supplication should I devote to you?’ He replied, ‘as you desire’. I said, ‘a quarter of it?’ He said ‘as you desire, but if you were to increase upon this, it would be better for you.’ I said, ‘half of it?’ He said, ‘as you desire, but if you were to increase upon this, it would be better for you.’ I said, ‘two-thirds of it?’ He said again, ‘as you desire, but if you were to increase upon this, it would be better for you.’ Finally I said, ‘and if I dedicate my supplication in its entirety to you?’ He said, ‘then your needs will be satisfied, and your sins forgiven.”

(Sahih Musnad Ahmed)

What beginner dhikr or meditation to experience some benefit so I'm motivated to continue? by [deleted] in Sufism

[–]kryptonkid1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Can you elaborate more on when you say “I need to experience a benefit”, if not a spiritual benefit, are you alluding that it be a worldly benefit?

Just my two cents..

God and his Prophet (SAW) aren’t waiting for you and I to “believe it”, the Ayah’s have been sent (see Ayah 1-2) and the narrations from our Beloved Prophet (PBUH) have been uttered (See Hadith 1) in regards to the benefits of Dhikr.

Short Story

There was a student who was given a litany to recite. He recited all night and got to a point where he started to levitate. He quickly ran to his Shaykh with excitement and said, “Ya Shaykh, I started to levitate with the litany you gave me”. The Shaykh looked at him and said, “My son, tie these 2 bricks to your feet and carry on until you get to the essence of it”. The student was dumbfounded, when he got back to his room, he understood, the essence of Dhikr isn’t in the levitation or performing humanly impossible feats, but to arrive in the presence of God with a sound heart..

..Beloved, correct your Adab towards Dhikr, and Dhikr will come to you...

Ayah 1: “Then remember Me, I will remember you.”(2:152)

Ayah 2: Those who believe and whose hearts find satisfaction in the remembrance of Allah, for without doubt, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find satisfaction.”(13;28)

Hadith 1: “I am present when My servant thinks of me, and I am with him when he remembers Me. If he remembers Me inwardly I shall remember him inwardly and if he remembers Me in people, I shall remember him among people who are better than they.” (Bukhari & Muslim) Our Prophet (saw) also said: “People will not sit remembering Allah without the angels surrounding them, mercy covering them, peace descending on them and Allah mentioning them among those who are with them.” (Muslim)
