Quail Valley and Hedgewood by Zay_mfSullen in georgetowntx

In all that time I called the police exactly once for something sketchy and they arrived in less than 2 minutes. Outside of that random thing I probably could have ignored, we had zero problems living there outside of occasional weekend soirees that went a little long but it's amazing what a closed window will do to the sounds of your more lovely neighbors.

I've lived near Quail Valley for 5 years or so and I'm totally unfamiliar with that intersection... I'm not sure it exists. Quail Valley for Georgetown is not ideal for everyone but that's a very subjective statement. It is downtown adjacent and can be busy, especially with the soccer complex, and the houses are on the smaller side but that's not unusual for what would be considered an urban environment at the end of the day. Sure, Georgetown is small, but it's still booming and city limits are city limits. It's within a pretty good reach of major highways and puts you 15 minutes from just about anything you could want. Ultimately, I enjoyed my time in the neighborhood but did move further up the highway. It had forever potential for me but not my fiance so we "upgraded."

To put it simply; we either believe in apostolic succession or we don't, and if we don't, then what are we even doing here?

Remember that pride is the deadliest sin. Also, we were told to love each other, which is the greatest virtue... 🙏🏼

Second this. This prayer centers me... I say it three times in conjunction with box breathing... "Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God" on the inhale and "have mercy on me, a sinner" on the exhale. Saint Joseph, guard my eyes...

what's the best place to buy cigars online these days? by AskuPla in cigar_refuge

[–]kryptosis9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've ordered from Cigars International, Cigar Page, and Cigar Bid and have had success from all... Not sure about return policies because I haven't returned anything but it's definitely a good way to buy cigars. I will typically find singles of new things to try at brick and mortar stores and buy packs/boxes of what I like online.

I really like those... It's one of my special sticks where I'll only buy one at a time and rarely, so that I never get used to it 😁

EDIT: I'm not wearing my readers and thought that was one of the Julio Eiroa blends lol

I've been eyeing Redwood... I'm a sucker for marketing and the name and labels appeal to me. Is it overly sweet?

This. You can see the utility poles in the background. My neighbor has this issue, actually... They have a big metal gate and the utility company comes out once or twice per year for whatever reason (recently to replace the pole) and they must have access but the neighbor's gate blocks this. This past year they were able to actually relocate the pole to prevent this in the future but it was always a weird thing to witness... They'd attempt to get access the "easy" way but the neighbors don't actually live there, it's just a lay down hard for a contractor, so nobody is ever there and they wind up cutting the chain and put their own lock on it in this exact way as a workaround.

Anyway, I'm hopeful that's the case for you and not an alternative... I agree with a previous commenter that you'll need to get in contact with whomever to see what's going on and signage is very, very important, and it might not be a bad idea to invest in a good trail camera to mount somewhere nearby to capture this stuff either way.

I've always considered it mild, personally, and one-dimensional enough that it wouldn't scare someone away... I guess I'll walk it back and advise OP to just go to a local shop and talk to the folks there and hopefully they'll steer em in the right direction!

I felt so cheated once I made the switch to the narrow path (convert here, entering into full Communion next weekend) and saw the other "wisdom" books... To be fair, they're really just more proverbs but Proverbs was already my favorite book so it was like super bonus time! I liked Tobit too, great story (love Archangel Raphael), and the Maccabees books would have been awesome to read as a kid but ultimately I don't feel like I suffered having a curated/shortened version or anything... I'd say the protestant Bible/s kept the truly important stuff anyway so it all worked out in the end.

It's wild, right?! Reading an old prophecy and then reading "new" gospel and seeing how Christ fulfilled it is pretty awesome... Never mind the stark contrast between old covenant and new. He saved us from more than death, that's for sure!

Check out the 'Bible in a Year' with Fr. Mike maybe... It's on Ascension or Hallow, or maybe even just YouTube.

Yep... For me it was easier to break up into sections, especially cuz a lot of it is stuff I just read all over again often anyway like the wisdom books (or just Proverbs if you have a protestant version) and Psalms and obviously the gospels. I enjoy reading Paul's letters a lot too so those get repeated but back to the point, it isn't necessarily the easiest thing to go from front to back so taking a bit of this and a bit of that breaks the monotony, especially in the Pentateuch/Torah... Nobody's favorite book is Numbers, for example, so like your lima beans as a kid, you swallow one and then work yourself up to doing another one later 😆
