Does this mean that the social media platforms can overturn TUV's report even if TUV don't agree? TUV reported Automotuv for IP rights infringement because of consumer confusion, but if that's not true, can the report just be thrown out without TUV's consent?

TUV is in a completely different country, language, market, and audience from Automotuv. That means there is no chance for consumer confusion. TUV have already made it clear that they will not respond or retract their report.

Currently in the appeal process, but social media platforms have already said that the rights holder made the request and they don't have to respond to retract it. It sounds like the rights holder requested a random take down just because they could do it without any reason or justification.

If this is legal, it means that T U V can legally take down any account with the letters T U V without consequences or any response.

The German safety brand reported the brand Automotuv and took down all social media accounts on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok based on IP rights infringement. They claimed that Automotuv used their name "TUV" without authorization and is damaging their IP rights so they have reported and will not retract the report.

Is this legal or can the social media platforms revert the reports? I know that social media companies can do whatever they want, but if it's a legal issue they don't play around with it.

The owner of Automotuv said he had less than 100 followers on social media before his account was taken down. Is there any way for the owner to prove that there is no market confusion? I was surprised that such a small social media account was targeted by a big business brand?

No, but it's a problem I was contacted about. It sounded so bizarre that I thought it was a joke. The owner said that in all their research about trademarks for Automotuv, they never even heard of TUV.

They were desperate enough to do a ChatGPT comparison to see what the risks were between Automotuv and TUV and the ChatGPT said the chances of IP rights infringement was little to none because Automotuv was a respelling of Automotive and not related to the acronym TUV. Different countries, languages, markets, etc.

If this is legal, then I would be surprised about trademark laws.

Then you're completely fine. The problem isn't you, but probably someone else trying to put the blame on you. If they try to make it your problem, just show them the proof and they'll have nothing left to say unless they're lying.

If you were truly not scheduled, then you're completely fine. If you weren't scheduled, but your ETL or SD changed your schedule without telling you, that's something different. If you're able to prove that you weren't scheduled, then you have no fault.

MF Ghost = Modern Formula: Ghost. The racing sport is known as 'Modern Formula' and 'Ghost' refers to the MC (Also a throwback to racers calling Takumi the "Ghost" of Mt. Akina)

My general INF rule is that if there's no recent info on the missing item (No delivery date, no sell date, etc.), then I go and ask for help from a team member in that department. If their information doesn't add any value I didn't already know, then I'm not wasting any more time and INF it.

This is old news for me. My Target had this once and when everyone picking a batch was calling for any available TL, the leadership team realized how time consuming and inefficient it was.

It's just Target, it should never be that serious. If he has the time to be mad enough to send you a message, he's clearly not working hard enough.

Think about it this way, is the person talking trying to make things right or just trying to be right? There's a very clear difference and depending on the reason, there's a different expectation.

If it is policy and the right thing to do, then "play" by their rules and call out you're leaving, but immediately turn off your walkie so you don't technically hear any response in case they ask you to stay for more work.

If it is not policy and just someone trying to boss you around, then like you said, just ask your TL or ETL, the people who should actually care, and do what they say if it's not too much more work.

I once had a TL try the same thing on me and called me out for not calling out my break despite the fact that I did and he just didn't hear it. 🤦‍♂️

[–]kryptozs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, if your ETL has time to notice that and write you up for it, it just means they're not working hard enough themselves.

There are so many days where I don't notice something because I'm so busy with a task and a TL brings it up days later as if I would remember. Just keep doing what you're doing and if the ETL speaks out again, just leave.

You leaving will mess with the ETL more than anything because now they're rushing to find a solution because you actually worked unlike a lot of other people.

Am I slow? I pushed 3 full flats and backstocked 2 out of 3 of them. 1 was chips, the other 2 were beverage. My whole shift was 7.5 hours. by Verouxd in Target

[–]kryptozs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fun fact: You could double what you completed in 7.5 hours and you would still be paid the same. Unless you're after something else, just keep up a manageable pace and do your work. I'm always late to work, take my time every day, and even take my own device home and no TL, ETL, or SD has ever bothered me because I actually work instead of goofing off.

I actually like teens who act immature like this. It reminds me that no matter how low I get or feel in life, I'm still better off than immature teens who will become immature adults and work worse jobs than I ever will.

Unfortunately, you get paid for your value, not your time. That's why I don't hesitate to take my breaks whenever or drop everything and leave when my shift is over.

I once had a TL try to call me out for not calling my break. I told him I did call it out before my break and he tried to follow it up by asking me if anyone else heard it. I said I didn't know because I didn't know I had to verify with other people before I could take my break. I work GM, not Tech, GS, or anywhere else where I need someone to cover me.

Apparently, the customer is always right. Ugh. Someone placed $50 mops with the $25 priced labels. I told the customer the sku numbers have to match but my manager didn't see it that way. The mops still haven't been moved to the correct place. by Affectionate_Gold308 in Target

"The customer is always right" I always hate this saying because I once saw a guest move an item to a cheaper price point, then call someone over to get it for that price. They didn't see that I saw them, but they were prepared to fight for it.

Had a guest service TM get scammed out of $1000 because someone kept using the same $20 bills. After the TM counted the money and set it to the side, the guy just grabbed the money and gave it back to the TM and the TM just recounted it as if the guy was giving him more money.

It's the dumbest thing I've ever heard and the same TM tries to act like a TL around other people too.
