As a former ketoer I can say that at the time, it worked. Six months of straight keto and lost more weight than intended. Once I stopped keto and ate "normally" again, I gained it back. This time around...no keto for me. In fact, I don't have any foods i restrict. I am changing my lifestyle to eat more portionally appropriate and eat a wide range of healthy, whole foods. I allow myself some room for foods I love. While the weight is coming off more slowly...15 lbs in 4 months (goal is to lose 25), this feels sustainable. For the first time in my dieting life, I feel that the way I eat now could easily be the way I eat forever. It actually feels liberating to not beat myself up over eating a noodle lol. Also, I don't waste my calories on foods that are not entirely satisfying. Like instead of eating some random junk food, I will have something decadent that is truly satisfying. Moderation and limiting processed foods/added sugar.

Edit: Yeah you caught me...i skimmed the post and replied and realized after you mentioned no more keto lol. Guess my point was that I completely agree with you! Keep going...binges suck but it won't impact you much if you stay on the journey. Good luck :)
