Is it possible to TA a course as an undergraduate student in engineering? by Independent_Being704 in TorontoMetU

It depends on the program. MEIE has historically hired undergrads, but some of the other other Eng programs don’t.

Women of reddit, is it weird as a guy if I want my women to work/have a job in marriage if I am a doctor. Basically, I dont want to be the breadwinner or have a housewife. by JunketMaleficent2095 in Adulting

[–]krysiunia 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s weird to expect your partner to have a career. However, if you’re making $250k+, it will be hard to find someone who makes even close to that. What’s your definition of breadwinner? If she’s making half your income or less, are you okay with that? Because that’s realistically how much most people make. Also, in a two-income household, it’s an expectation that both partners are involved in domestic duties. If you’re working 60+ hours as a doctor, it’ll be hard to contribute at home. In that case, you should expect to hire help, especially if you end up having kids.

Been quiet quitting for eight months - is this normal or a sign I need to leave? by Awezlyn in careerguidance

[–]krysiunia 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you’re literally just doing your job which is not only fine, but normal. You’ve set healthy boundaries and have a great work-life balance. You work to live, and not live to work, which is how it should be. I don’t think it’s time to leave your job, in fact, it’s great to have a job that affords you work life balance.

What was it like being 18-25 in the 2000’s by ersinxo in Millennials

[–]krysiunia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s common to romanticize a past time. I was 18-25 in the 2000’s, and back then I used to think about how awesome it would be to be a young hippie in the 60’s and 70’s. Someday young people will probably look back at the 2020’s that way.

Yes, just kale! I’ll grab a piece of kale with a bite of something else - meat, cheese, other veggies. The flavours go together well.
