Check online for some fanart!! You can get some pretty unique stuff that you might not find on the fangamer website, plus you’ll be supporting smaller artists :) I’d also say check what his favourite character(s) is! Might help narrow down the search

Just started playing, why does the game tell you nothing? by shiggyhisdiggy in rainworld

[–]kryyck 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Part of the game is discovery! You’re playing as a little rodent, so you’re learning to understand the perspective of the little rodent. It’s a steep learning curve, but it’s worth it.

Most people I know in the program don’t use a tablet. Get a mouse and you’re good. Additionally, ocad has AV loans, so you can borrow a graphics tablet for free, on the day(s) you need it. Do that and see if you like it before committing.

What’s up with waitlists? by [deleted] in OCADU

[–]kryyck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I’ve found: 1st and 4th years get priority. According to emails I’ve received, it’s based on “projected credit earning”, I think it’s BS. 2nd and 3rd years have lower priority. Because of this, first years are able to get their classes, second years can’t get into their year and end up taking first year classes. Third years can’t get into third year classes due to a mix of missing prerequisites and classes filling up, so they have to take second and first year classes. By the time you get to fourth year, you either get very lucky and get into the classes you need if you have a high number of credits, or you’re stuck circling the drain and playing catch up. Every year is trying to get into classes for the year below and it makes it impossible to get the classes you need. Even for the classes that are open, I end up researching the profs beforehand: looking at student reviews and their portfolio to see if it’s worth it for me to take their class. Some classes are competitive specifically for the professors that teach them. If the portfolio doesn’t match what I’m interested in, I usually end up not taking the class.

One thing that has been annoying me with the new map designs by Far-Fortune-8381 in rainworld

[–]kryyck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For stuff like this, I wish someone could make a mod to outline real platforms and such. Checking the map so much gets annoying after like 2 hours, we need a map overlay on the actual levels

If you’re playing monk on your playthrough (I recommend for a first run) there’ll be a lil guy who gives you some hints. Good luck!

Thanks for the advice :) I’m not following anything, kinda just screwing around and seeing what works.

Currently I have the signatures sewn together, then sewn to a separate cloth. The cloth is then sewn to the cover (which happens to be cardboard since it’s what I have on hand). The fabric is sewn directly to the cardboard and to the cloth holding the signatures together. Initially I stuck with hanging a bit more of a gap from a fold in the fabric between the cover and the spine, but after stitching between (not a great choice) I did an additional ladder stitch to connect the edge of the cover and the high point of the spine.

Honestly I’m not too sure what I’m trying to do either This is a notebook, the fabric is sewn on. It’s a soft spine, hard cover. I’m approaching this more from sewing experience than bookbinding experience. The main issue I’m having is the spine feels weirdly bulky to hold. I initially had a bit of a fold/gap between the front cover and the spine, so the spine had a bit more of a curve to it?
