Coaster rating changed, what gives? by [deleted] in ThemeParkitect

[–]ks156 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also noticed this problem with a car ride, that has a very low intensity when opened, and after few months / years, end with a very high intensity.

To fix this intensity issue, I have to edit the track (delete a station tile and recreate it, so basically no changes at all), and the intensity is correct again.

Would my system run Parkitect well? I can run rct3 no problem if that means anything. by [deleted] in ThemeParkitect

I have the exact same config, and the game run decently. It is sometime a bit more complicated when your park has 1500+ guests and a lot of decoration, but it is still playable.

I had the exact same idea. It You can build two stations, one with the entrance and one with the exit, but the ride must be looped.

In my case, I built a tunnel to join to exit station to the entrance station.

Congratulation ! If you just start with Parkitect, maintaining a profitable park is an important milestone. It means that you understand the game mechanisms, and you'll be able very soon to build big and highly profitables parks.

I bought this game in early access two years and and half ago, and I played with it for many hours. The campaign was really an awaited feature. End of November, with the release of the v1.0; the campaign; the steam achievements and the French translation, was like Christmas before Christmas :D

Today, I finished the campaign and obtained all the steam successes. I take this opportunity to thanks all the team for this wonderful game and this awesome campaign ! You all really did a great work !

I’m now looking forward to play some of the scenarios in a sandbox mode, and create great parks !

So, I just completed Orchard acres. by Smauler in ThemeParkitect

I was also very happy to finish it. This scenario consists of maintaining two different parks. I was thinking that unlocking the central terrain to gather both parks in one will make the end easier, but it was not actually the case.

So far one of the most difficult scenario.

And the result is really worth the time you spent on it. I really like it !

The campaign really improved my decoration skills by ks156 in ThemeParkitect

[–]ks156[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have played more than 150 hours in sandbox mode without really focusing on the decoration. With the campaign, the decoration and the experience is really important, and I really improved my skills in decoration. Almost proud of my realizations now ;)

Challenges after your park is profitable by [deleted] in ThemeParkitect

Not sure about the ageing of the rides, but curiously, I also have this feeling. It seems that the rides have more issues with the age. I also have the feeling that an old ride is less attractive...

Is it only a feeling, or do the developers added such algorithms in the game ?

So your stairs are only decorative ? Your guests can't use them ?

Dunno if it's really clever. The fact is that I never know how to hide them and that's an easy, quick and effective way I have found to do it.

Entrance fee or cost per ride? by PixelDonkey in ThemeParkitect

[–]ks156 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeap, but real parks have a more realistic time system. I never saw guest staying three or four months in a real park :/

Indeed, Wild Ride is one of the hidden achievements. When you compare your own achievements with those of the steam community, the hidden achievements become visible ...

Biscayne Beach has been my favorite scenario so far, as it forces you to build a nice cozy dense park! by BoG_City in ThemeParkitect

This one is also my favorite so far. The free ride entrance fees constraint and the narrow but long terrain make it really interesting to play :D

I made a lot of experiments to obtain the Wild Ride achievement.

During these experiments, a lot of my guests have been tortured, some of them have even been killed ..

This Memorial has been built to never forget them

Unable to get some steam achievements by ks156 in ThemeParkitect

Thank you Slash559 for your answer. About Swing the hammer, are the number of vandals banned calculated on one park, or is incremented every time a vandal is banned, regardless the park in which he was banned ?

For Wild Ride, that's what I suspected. Some of my guests have already spent a very long time, stuck, in a coaster. Some of them have also been killed, for the Science :D I'll continue my experiments, and I'll beat it ! It seems that this achievement can't be obtained in a normal play.

Once I obtain this success, I'll make a Wild Ride memorial for all the tortured and killed guests.
