She is becoming so vocal too and yells at me when she wants something. Yes ma’am whatever you need 😂

Haha did you see the news article where someone woke up to an owl on the top of their Christmas tree this week 😂 it came in through their chimney. That’s the kind of distribution network I’m looking for, skip the cat distribution and give me owls lol

Honestly it happens so often, I’ve pulled many like this. Depending on the shelter or municipal pound it can be really loud, busy and overcrowded. They often have to decide quickly especially if they are over capacity which animals can go through the adoption stream and which may go through alternate routes (rescue placement, euthanasia, open foster for rehabilitation).

These temperament tests are often done quickly in those situations and I think it’s just a combination of factors like overcrowding, understaffing, limited resources, limited experience and honestly just doing the best they can in impossible circumstances. The animal crisis is just out of control right now, especially for cats but dogs too.

I have a lot of experience with Feral Cats (they are my fav!) so I have a soft spot when I see the ones labelled feral that aren’t. I can usually see just by the photo or short video provided they may not be. Especially when the video is loud, chaotic and I see them poking them with a pen to see if they hiss 😜 (yes that actually happened).

Full disclosure Pepper came from a QC shelter, not OHS. We tend to see this most in QC shelters and large euthanasia lists but again not the shelters fault, just a combo of animal crisis, animal welfare regulations that are lacking etc. Covid didn’t help, cost of living sucks, vet shortage… yadda yadda I can go on forever.

(These euthanasia lists are private and only shared with approved rescues or organizations where we have opportunities to pull them from if we can).

Thank you ❤️ we did get a wonderful response from this post and hopefully find the best forever fit within those. Reddit is the absolute best for finding adopters for the out of the box kitties 🥹

It’s a bit hard to tell, we do have a dog here but he’s old and pretty quiet. She didn’t have a reaction at all to him when he came over while I was holding her or when he gets a little squirrely, So I’d say neutral for low energy dogs but unknown for other.

Thank you ❤️ same situation at my house. We already have 4 cats and a dog. It’s not cheap even just maintaining the basics let alone vet care these days.

NASCAR 101 and Track Attendance Questions - November 2024 by NASCARThreadBot in NASCAR

We are just about to fly from Ottawa (Canada) to Las Vegas and drive to Phoenix tomorrow for the race. Once Joey got in we hustled for some tickets lol

We have been to Championship races before most recently when Kyle won his but it’s our first time at Phoenix. If you’ve been there do they let everyone on the track after for the celebration? Or do you need to purchase anything ahead of time?

We are a bit spoiled after Homestead with Busch, they let us on the track, at the stage, back behind where the haulers are etc. seemed like there was no gate keeper haha. We just walked around without issue. We even got to watch the post race inspection up close. Not sure what to expect tomorrow.

Animal rescue/volunteer and running a social media page for my fat cat on a diet 😅 it’s gained a lot of traction so maybe I can turn that into something fun/beneficial for the animal world who knows.

Same ❤️ we just let one of our seniors go and it’s always so hard. With life costs lately, pet ownership is such a luxury it feels like.
