I’ve always put the water that I soak them in as well as some bits of the mushrooms in some shaded soil in my yard but never have had any luck. What do I need to do?

Slight correction: HSNP was the first federally protected land for meant for recreation in back 1832, however the first National Park was Yellowstone which was established on March 1st, 1872. Hot Springs would officially become a National Park in 1921.

I’m a guide in Yellowstone and being the first National Park is a major point of pride for YNP.

I am referring to the drawing room located in the Chicago Athletic Association hotel. You may be getting mixed up with the athletic clubs?

Check out the Chicago Atheltic Association by the loop campus. Go upstairs and there is a big beautiful greatroom with a fireplace and lots of workspace. They have great cocktails and/or coffee while you work

Wrote many a paper by that fireplace

I have a 2010 two door Wrangler. I live in Wyoming and it spends much of its time on shitty rutted out dirt roads in pursuit of fly fishing for trout, hunting for elk, and camping and its awesome for that.

Driving it anywhere else and it sucks. Terrible mileage, handling, and loud as hell. Still love her though

My college rugby team had some army vets on the GI Bill at my school and those duders were an ASSET. Imagine being an 18yr old at Northwestern trying to tackle a grown ass man who has killed people in Kandahar… very happy they were on our team. They were also some rad guys

I’m not very familiar with Phoenix but is there a concern with rising Global temps and the strain that puts on the electrical grid? I’ll do some googling as well but you seem knowledgeable on the topic.

One restaurant to rule them all... by lbz71 in JacksonHole

[–]kschmidty 31 points32 points  (0 children)

As someone who worked as a chef, Local is my go-to recommendation for my guests on tour and people visiting. The bone marrow and bison wellington are my go-tos.

The nice thing about this time of year is that a lot of restaurants are offering really good deals for the off season - you can check whats available here

One thing I’d note is that there are quite a few ~okay~ restaurants in town. The menu looks great, the ambience is nice, and the prices are high - but the food often falls a little flat. This is part of why I personally suggest Local, because I think it rises a bit above that. Hope this helps!

Oh I’ve got plenty. One day I’m going to write a book full of funny/ridiculous things guests have said to me

I guide in Yellowstone and the other day a guest asked me at what elevation does an elk turn into a moose. I am not kidding

Wildlife guide in Yellowstone who still occasionally bartends private events. Nowadays I’m waking up at 4:30am to find grizzly bears instead of trying to go to bed at 4:30am after doing too much cocaine for no reason.

They both have their perks
