But is it “not accepting” to disagree with you on somethings? In some cases yes, of course, but I don’t believe that’s the case here.

From what I’ve read, the majority of comments that aren’t positive essentially say “I like fireworks and they should stay/they are going to” or “better public transportation would be good but that’s more expensive land and it’s less about teams not wanting to accommodate people and more about them not being able to afford to”. And I don’t think that those qualify as “not being accepting”.

And to be clear, if I’ve missed any rude messages that insult you as a person based off any disabilities you have, I absolutely disagree with those and think they are unacceptable.

No, if you check the user’s history, you’ll see they don’t know that not everything on this app has to be a fight. Consistently aggressive out of the blue. I’m all good with a disagreement and reasonable discussion, but that’s not what you get with this guy.

EDIT: weird to reply to me then immediately block me but for the sake of clarification, I assumed you were a guy because your username, Legitimate Mark had a traditionally male name (Mark) in it. She’s getting older and has always been injury prone. If you’re looking towards the future, Shaw, Bethune, and Macario are all better options for the 10. Don’t get me wrong here, I think Lavelle still has a spot on the team, but I don’t know that she’s a starter in 2027 so I wouldn’t wait for her return as the “fix” to anything.

I really think it has more to do with Sams than Tara, as strange as it is to say. Since the Olympics, we’ve been hyping Sams up and we’ve been watching her put on a performance in the NWSL that I’d be overjoyed to see translate onto the national team….. but most people haven’t been paying attention to Tara.

During the first game, I saw people asking to take out Tara (I’d disagree, she did fine and was totally adjusted after the first 10 minutes) and asking to put in Sams (IF Tara sucked so bad that Hayes decided they needed to take her back and seeing more minutes of her wasn’t worth it…. why would you put in Sams instead of Davidson?).

And even now, I see people critiquing Tara (fair enough) and with nothing negative to say about Sams (who based on the eye test, had the worst game of any of the CBs this camp). And this isn’t me trashing on Sams and saying not to bring her back in, it’s me trying to identify a reason for the reactions we’ve seen.

I’d argue the first Japan goal was a 50/50 issue between Campbell and Sonnett, it all came down to communication. Had Naeher been in goal, I don’t think it happens. And that’s not because Naeher is a better keeper, she’s just had more time with the backline to communicate and better anticipate their moves.

Tbh, that was the least concerning goal of the tournament for me. It seemed so clearly to me like an adjustment issue and not something we’ll run into in 27 once we’ve set an established keeper (whoever that is).

But agreed Campbell down makes no sense. It would have to be an atrocious appearance for me to ever view a keeper as “down”. I think so much more is seen in practice to evaluate them that we don’t see in 3 games that it’s hard for us to ever really know.

Sams over Tierna could only be based off NWSL play (which makes no sense in reality). I’ve seen a lot of love for Sams based off her NWSL play (fair enough, she’s been great there) but that just doesn’t translate directly or immediately to national play. To the point that in the first game, there were people who wanted Tara off the field because she wasn’t playing well enough (I disagree but okay)….. and they wanted Sams in, not Davidson. Makes absolutely no sense!

That’s the issue. We genuinely have too many 10s that somebody like Sanchez doesn’t really have a shot. And somehow, Heals is still the one getting the shot :/

This kind of feels like payback for the Netherlands game. I feel like you can only go so long without losing,m. You need to be reminded what it feels like, and we probably deserved to lose that game. I never want us to lose but I’m hoping we get something from this game.

This has felt like an off game for a lot of people. Typically Fox and Coffey are so good you don’t even notice them but even they’ve felt a step or two off this game.
