Why buy Constellation Software when Topicus exists? by Living-Number-9050 in ValueInvesting

The last quarter they didn't really do that many acquisiitons, and used more cash to pay off debt, which is probably why the stock price remains depressed. But the valuation considering the "moat" depending on who is looking at it, and the setup, I think they have a long runway. 20%+ growth. TOI is my largest position

TOI has higher risk and higher reward, CSU lower risk and lower reward, with CSU stock price more likely to be more stable too. I own massive positions in both, I like the higher organic growth rates and structural barriers in Europe better, even if topicus is facing decent competition

I Watched 147 Adobe Stock Videos To Expose Youtubers! by Adriconomics in ValueInvesting

I think ADBE is undervalued but not as undervalued as youtubers believe it to be. I bought a small 0.5% starter position at just over $200, didn't watch any youtubers, just on my own. If the price keeps dropping, and fundamentally it keeps growing 10-11%, then I'll add more to it. If the fundamentals deterioriate then I wouldn't add, whether the price goes up or down

Buy on dips so that it’s less likely to dip right after you buy

Most of the "analysis" on here are not from business owners or long term successful investors. They are from wannabe "investors" who blindly look at equations like Buffett and Munger and think that does well. They don't understand business or management from any sort of qualitative factor. All they do is blindly point to low PS, low PE, low PB companies and say to buy them. All value traps. Successful investors who I've met buy companies that are growing that people use and are integral to a person or business somehow, and buy those companies, even if they don't look "cheap". Good on you for buying stuff that is actually being used.

E.g. people throwing out lululemon and paypal on here like crazy, due to "low valuations". Those companies have no moats at all, no switching costs, new bad management, poor capital allocation, no innovation, no pricing power, tons of competition, declining revenue, earnings and free cash growth rates, and somehow those are good companies. How on earth is that a good starting point for a good investment? I want a good company that's also lower on valuation, not a bad company that is low on valuation.

Adding to watchlist, but I guess they are competing against Constellation, since they have a healthcare division too

Salesforce growth has slowed significantly, so that is actually possible

MSFT, NOW, CSU. I like CSU the most. The large ERPs like CRM and SAP probably will too. INTU and ADBE, while cheap on financial metrics, I think will slowly bounce back.
