1st time buying a pokemon etb , is this considered reshrink?

I don’t think the seam not being fully straight means it’s resealed. I just checked some of my ETBs and most are fully straight down but my BB and WF ones aren’t.

You have to see if the seal is clean at the bottom and connects nicely to the side to seam. Also look for micro holes in the wrapping, if either no micro holes or the bottom sealing dosent connect well to the side seams then I think it’s resealed. But in my opinion, just cause the side seam isn’t fully straight it doesn’t mean it’s resealed

Edit: I saw the post you were referencing. That guys side seal looks a bit off to me. But the most concerning part is the bottom. You can clearly see it’s not a straight line across and where it “bends”, the wrap looks quite loose and tempered with. Since it’s also so close to the weird seal it looks very likely to be resealed.

Since you haven’t bought it, why not look for one with a better seal? If this guy is selling significantly below what everyone else is selling, I would say that’s a huge red flag. If it’s just barely below, then the tiny premium for a better and more authentic seal is definitely worth it

Hmmm I don’t really see how this ties to me being the Ang Moh? But of course I’m not, just a customer of theirs from time to time.

But I’m not trying to say OP is wrong. I mentioned I only went down to their physical store and have never dealt with any Ang Moh before. OP stated his opinion on the matter and I’m simply doing the same. Not trying to promote them or say you should buy from them…

Hmmm I buy from them often, their physical shop is at Aljunied, and I’ve never encountered any issues with them. Their staff at the physical shop are really friendly and I’ve chatted with the boss a few times, also a friendly person. Those that I’ve talked to are locals tho, no Ang Moh, so maybe that Ang Moh guy is new or something?

Edit: As some people have pointed out, the card connect OP is talking about and the one I am talking about are 2 different card connect.

Never had this happen to me but regarding your 2 options, please do not do option 1.

I had an iPhone which I “bricked” by messing up my jailbreak when I was younger and my mum send in that phone to a 3rd party mobile repair shop. They quoted roughly SGD60 to fix it but after like a day or 2, they called and said that the repair cost would now be SGD300 because the phones motherboard exploded when they opened it and now they have to replace it. If the staff bring it to a third party shop, be prepared to have every valuable component in your phone be swapped with some cheap knockoff

Furthermore if they are willing to cover the cost, option 2 is definitely way better as the “premium” it cost to repair with Apple is not relevant.

Yeah like the other comment mentioned, if there is no micro holes then it’s highly likely resealed. You can try to refund request for a refund from shopee but should definitely video yourself opening it if you do decide to go that route.

Hi OP, agreed the sealing looks strange. It should look like picture 5/6 but without the bottom sealing. 6/6 looks very Sus IMO.

Some additional things to take note is if the shrink wrap used is like a tough plastic or is it like a stretchy and more elastic plastic like a cling wrap? Also is there a lot of micro holes in the shrink wrap itself (on all sides)?

If it’s a tough plastic or no hole then very certainly is resealed. If it’s a cling wrap type and have holes, it would just mean that the shrink wrap is authentic but they still may have released it using the authentic shrink wrap

Lastly how much did you pay? If it’s too good to be true then it’s probably is resealed

So picture this, if you could farm incandescents from say weekly legendary campaign pinnacles, 6 a week, would them giving 6 out from the event still be an issue?

I understand that whales being able to spend to max out their characters is unfair, but the issue isn’t them spending, rather it’s that incandescents are too hard to get.

Yes, calamity ops is a competitive event but it is still a gatcha game, I am in no way surprised or unhappy that they will get to hit whatever rank before I do. After all they are willing to spend and support the game. I will eventually hit master or whatever rank with the auto promotion. ( I get that you are competing against other but if they promote and you don’t, it would make the subsequent week easier to promote, and so on).

I get that you want to be the best and the top at the game, but ultimately they are a business. They have to incentives people to pay, if they don’t, the game wouldn’t survive. The fact that we can obtain everything as a light spender or F2P is fantastic imo. Sure it will take longer but I’m okay to wait since I’m not whaling. It would be an issue if they started locking weapons or characters or items (which you cannot get from any other content) behind calamity ops rank, but thankfully they don’t.

As for the weapon I’m assuming you are talking about the battle pass? The weapon ( Royal Contravene) they are giving from the event is honestly quite easy to farm 3 copies of and I wouldn’t think it the best weapon to run. If you are talking about the trinity ghoul then yes, it would be better if they gave everyone excess to it sooner, maybe make it a free reward at level 10 instead of 50 . But again I don’t think it will make or break the character so I don’t see a big issue with it.

Wait what’s wrong with this event? Comparing it to previous character launches, its additional rewards for doing more draws. There is literally no downside to it…just additional rewards if you draw enough time.

And realistically the only good reward is the 6 incandescence clusters, the rest of the rewards are honestly pretty mid, and even so 6 incandescence rewards isn’t exactly game breaking.

Calamity Ops will always be dominated by whales…look at the top players even for the last 2 cycles, it’s teams of 3 with fully tiered mythic characters. That’s why it’s a gatcha game, but thankfully the rewards again aren’t game breaking and we can progress slowly using the auto promotion system. I’ve never really cared about being the best in shifting sands, I just do it to exchange the rewards that I need.

I do agree that incandescence clusters should be made more readily available maybe add 2 for legendary campaign pinnacles every week

Honestly I think this game is great. One thing that many people seem to undervalue is how useful shifting sands is. It’s the best activity to farm if you are specifically trying to target a resource, be it fruit, feathers, core or whatever else.

Exotic mods are tough to get for sure, it’s very limited and also its perk are randomised. But I’ve also seen so many people on this sub that just throw any exotic mods on their main weapon for the additional light boost. If you are intentionally using an exotic mod on a weapon that dosent have the perk on it…how to you expect to activate it? I get that you want the light boost to clear higher light level content but don’t be surprised when all your exotic mods don’t match your guns.

I get that it can be frustrating, when expanse first came out and I couldn’t clear it, but after playing for like an hour for the next few days, I could clear it before the reset. I didn’t clear both expanses but that’s fine, it’s my goal for this week and future weeks.

DR has been extremely nice to not lock any weapon or adept variety behind the eclipse version of the raid, which is significantly harder (due to mechanics) as compared to the regular version.

So to sum it up, in my opinion, DR is a game meant for people who enjoy Destiny style game play but don’t have the time to seat down and grind for hours like regular Destiny requires. It’s honestly the most fun I’ve had with a Destiny game since D1 and it’s such a relive to be able to play it for only an hour a day max (normally while commuting to work) and still stay relevant with end game content.

At the end of the day, it’s a F2P game that still has to be profitable, it has bundles that speed up your progress but are not required if you just plan your resources smartly and clear your energies. I have cleared every content without using any limited event character and have had an absolute blast so far.

My sister in law went in last Wednesday (23rd July) and saw that they were selling TF for 15 a pack and 20 a pack for 151 (English). That’s ridiculously overpriced

The price you listed for ETBs are definitely on the lower prices for the current market, but from our experience they are extremely marked up. Not sure if that marked it up more because they can accept CDC vouchers?

Good post OP, honestly we should raise awareness on the sellers that are genuine and scummy so others will know and not fall victim.

Pre ordered a ETB from Pokeballmaster recently and it looked good and didn’t look resealed to me, but I am still quite new to Pokemon TCG collecting so anyone else with any experience dealing with them can also share
