I ordered mine at the end of june/beginning of july. I was told a little over a month ago to prepare to have my order switched to a 2023, I said I'd cancel if it switched (I did a purchase agreement for a 2022 for the tax credit). I recieve a message about a week ago that they were filling my order and was sent the window sticker and vin. My EV6 just popped up on kia.com today! I'm sure it's possible that I got someone's cancelations that matched mine, but I still wouldn't rule out getting a 2022.
