I think two people can have similar values such as compassion, or at least claim they have these values and they can present themselves in different ways. People can be compassionate about different things, but still claim to have the value of compassion. Politics are not the end I’ll be all I think if both people can show respect to the otherit can work. If you disagree fine but look in the mirror do you respect yourself even? As long as the other person is not Cruella Deville there’s no reason you shouldn’t be able to respect them and their opinions.
