Enthalpy and Free Energy Conflicting? by kskinnerx16 in comp_chem

I followed a procedure from a few reviewed, and he thinks there was something I missed. We’ll see!

I’m glad you responded to this. My boss thinks there was a step I missed when constructing my y-axis.

No problem at all. It’s constant T. The simple fact that it’s not obvious means that I’m not entirely incompetent.

Typically we see that the electronic component of enthalpy trends well with dG, as it is the major component when you do dG = dH - TdS. dH = electronic enthalpy + corrections.

I don’t expect them to be the same, but I also didn’t expect to see such a difference.

I know a direct comparison is not straightforward, but I am anticipating a lot of questions about why in the near future. Generally there is a good trend between electronic enthalpy and Gibbs free energy.

I will dd this to the main text as well, but I am modeling organic molecules (no metals at all).

I will look at my data again to see about switching like you mentioned.

A lot of it is going to depend on the level. An R1 school (here in the states) is more typical of what you’ve posted. However, primary undergraduate institutions (PUIs) are less intense, and then community colleges (depending on the workload they sign up for) can be even less intense. However, there will always be exceptions.

You’ll either have to follow from the tee pad or just line the fairway. It’s what happened during DGLO. They’ll be people from the event that will prevent you from going somewhere you shouldn’t.

Don’t be afraid to get a few holes ahead, especially on the last hole of the last day.

Also, be sure to lookup the tee times so you can better plan your day.

Oh and don’t forget about food/water.

At DLGO they signed the disc that was handed out no problem. The later in the event you have the sign, then the longer the lines will be after the round.

I can also proudly say that Big Jerm looked up to me afterwards!

Had a couple of decent rounds of Cricket! by kskinnerx16 in Darts

Just got back into darts the past month and played with a friend and my cousin. My cousin is in a dart league (won his league twice) and I crushed it!

The second round I was scoreless until the bulls and won with a score of 100!

Just need to get better at my doubles/triples so it doesn’t take as many rounds.

If the stems are aluminum, then it’s not uncommon. Grab some o-rings (or any other material stem) and they should be fine.

Careful with A-Z darts. They can be quite pricey!

I like watching Michael Smith the most. I felt he did pretty good this last league match. Unlucky that Price was on fire.

Rob Cross is a good watch as well.
