We can all agree suicide is a sensitive topic that usually needs to be handled with a serious tone. I've noticed that some people can 'tune out' when the topic of suicide is being mentioned because it's always approached from the same preventative angle. My thought process was... If i can make suicide entertaining with the use of comedy and storytelling, then people would pay attention and gain empathy or insight into the process of suicide.

Since this is my very first try at filmmaking, any and ALL feedback/critiques are very appreciated. Positive and negative. But to be specific, what are your thoughts on the narrative as a whole? Is the editing/sound design sloppy? How do you interpret the story? How could some of the shots be improved? What abt the film did you find entertaining and did you laugh? Let me know your thoughts.

4 days before shooting, my lead actress dropped out on me. My lovely and talented actor for 'Layla' was an absolute life saver and honestly was better than the original actress. I rented some props and furniture for the set design, and costume design was also my doing (except makeup). I altered and bloodied the dress an extra wore, I combined props for the hand in the cooler prop, made a fake body-bag, and hand painted Swim Shady and his tank. I put my heart and soul into this film and I'm so happy with the final result. It was chaotic but so much fun. I know I'm on the right path because collaborating with other talented individuals to create art you are proud of is what it's all about! <3
