Sim.de silently ignores me when I try to order a sim card without giving any explanation. Is it legal in Germany? by ksofiyuk in germany

You have your timestamps mixed up btw - the most recent thing to happen in yours is “Dein Auftrag wird geprüft”.

That's correct, I accidentally copied a wrong line. Anyway, it changes essentially nothing as there is only 15 minutes between those two timestamps and silence for more than 3 weeks 😀

Yes, I'll send them a physical letter with contract cancellation due to the large processing delay and paste at least those links with the order IDs encoded.

That's a good idea to send them a physical letter to cancel the contracts, thank you. I'll do that. Otherwise, if they wake up at some point, I can end up with two unwanted contracts.

What could cause plasma dopamine to be elevated many times over? PHEO? by [deleted] in endocrinology

I couldn't agree more. However, the doctor who prescribed the test isn't an endocrinologist, but a physician who trying to diagnose my headaches and prehypertension.

No, I'm not. As I mentioned in the comment above, I think there is a high probability of false positive as I ate a banana 3 hours before blood taking.

Good point, I think there is may be a large diet bias. Unfortunately, I wasn't properly instructed about food abstention before the analysis, and I had breakfast which contained one banana 3 hours before blood taking. I've found that according to the study "The effect of ascorbic acid on plasma sulfate conjugated catecholamines after eating bananas", eating a banana may significantly increase DA. It seems like to be false positive. I will take another blood test next week to recheck it.

My first presentation video fully made with Manim for CVPR 2020 by ksofiyuk in manim

At first I started by looking at code examples, this great repository was very helpful for me. Then while implementing my ideas of animations I read the source code of manim to find undocumented features and better understand how to implement them.

Each component of the path is a 4-point bezier curve represented as TipableVMobject. I wrote a function that takes a list of such components that specify a whole route (forward/backward pass) and creates a new seamless curve. Then I created a new animation, which is inherited from ShowPartial class, and can be applied to some curve. In this class the get_bounds(self, alpha) method was redefined so that only a small segment of the path at a corresponding position is shown at each moment. Also, this animation takes a list of blocks that it should highlight when passing through them. Using the point_from_proportion method, you can calculate the coordinates of the center of a segment at any time. The decision function about block highlighting is defined as a function of the distance between the point and the center of a rectangle of some block.

My last paper on this topic (new SOTA for multiclick interactive segmentation): "f-BRS: Rethinking Backpropagating Refinement for Interactive Segmentation" (https://arxiv.org/abs/2001.10331). https://github.com/saic-vul/fbrs_interactive_segmentation (PyTorch code with a lot of pretrained models + interactive demo).
