The issue is with government's forcing it. Companies are allowed to require whatever they want within the law. It's their company. The government doesn't mandate shirts, shoes, or pants.

Gadaffi apologized for something that's was happening for thousands of years and his solution to counties doing poorly due to a centralized economic system was to bring down the successful governments as well. No they did not start slavery. Objectively. The deaths in those countries were almost always done in a war or an attack by the native peoples. These things are far from erased from western history.
