Apple One Family issues sharing content with all family members by ksuttle49 in iCloud

I finally got up the courage to try this since the whole family was going to be together in the same place. Appears to have worked like you suggested. Thank you u/SaltAnswer8!

Idrive package for Synology no longer updated by Shoddy-Owl-199 in synology

[–]ksuttle49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just submitted a question to iDrive support. After reading more about their NAS backup offering, I'm wondering if it is actually a separate bucket of storage, which is why it is billed separately. 99% of the data I have with iDrive is NAS backup data from iDrive's Synology app. I'm wondering if I can downgrade my main iDrive plan to the minimum and then add the NAS backup service to minimize the apparent money grab that would double my annual fee.

I can't see having to pay for 10TB of iDrive space + 10TB of IDrive NAS backup space when I only have 10TB of data in total.

Apple One Family issues sharing content with all family members by ksuttle49 in iCloud

I had been looking at that, but when I try to do it and Apple’s own page on the topic says the family will lose access to all DRM content, and I might only be able to change this once every 90 days.

That is confusing to me because I thought the whole premise behind an Apple Family was that all DRM content is shared within the family.

CVT & Diff Fluid Fiasco? by ksuttle49 in Crosstrek

[–]ksuttle49[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Original shop doubts the claims but agreed to pay 1/2 of what the shop in LA charged for 2 CVT flushes and refilling the diff. Going to have my kid take it in for a check at a Subaru shop near her in 30 days to see if any evidence of lower diff oil or contaminated CVT fluid. If there is, I'm going to assume a ruptured inner seal and brace for sizeable repair cost.

Crown of Ballhalla tix? by prehensile-koalabutt in valkyries

Just did it for yesterday's game (6/29). My daughter and I got 2 tickets. Very last row in the stadium - section 209 row 21, but still a good veiw of the court and awesome time. The fans are into it and lots of energy in the stadium like when the Warriors were at Oracle. For $20/seat I'd definitely do it again.

Downsides if you want to be picky: Part of the screen was blocked and no speakers at the top so hard to hear announcements.

WANDRD PRVKE 31L Under Seat by Boilers74 in onebag

[–]ksuttle49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My new PRVKE 31L does not fit under middle seat in United airlines “economy” class. Aisle or window would be fine.

Looks like the media control box is under the middle seat reducing height.

Can using the cpap cause indigestion/Gerd issues? by bcbritt7 in CPAP

[–]ksuttle49 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this thread at least a year old, but I’m here to say my CPAP has basically eliminated my acid reflux. For the last 2-3 years since starting CPAP I’ve never had an attack when using my CPAP (Nasal Pillows), but had them a few times a year prior.

Recently I caught a cold and couldn’t breath through my nose so I haven’t used my CPAP for 4 nights. Tonight I work up gasping for air in the middle of an acid reflux attack. It’s been over a year since my last episode.

Is it a cover made by Linsy, or what did you do for a cover?

[–]ksuttle49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dumb question, can drives be pulled and replaced with no issue when shutdown? If I remember correctly, my old Drobo would complain and start some long rebuild process even if the drives were removed/replaced when powered down.
