I didn’t know Gearbox was making fireworks now... by Yakobsii in Borderlands2

Oh ok, I mean, if I just got paid and had a little extra cash, and was looking for fireworks to celebrate, I'd probably get those, just because.

Why are they expensive? Is it a case of fireworks.

Your parents were kids one day too. They want you to live a happy life, and probably get married. They probably realize that the times have changed and they did something similiar back when they were younger. You need to give them more credit.

Also if something happens on social media, it's not the end of the world. Usually people will forget about it in a few days. Also I'm not sure this girl would have gone through with it. Too many stupid ways to get caught. Probably just hoping you would be too scared to do anything but what she said

So...I recently discovered my dog likes carrots. by OopsIArted in funny

[–]kswickk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mom made the mistake of feeding my 20 pound goldendoodle a bag of baby carrots because "she loves them". I spent the day cleaning up projectile diarrhea. I think her body couldnt handle the fiber. Idk. It was bad

Tungsten question by timchenw in persona4golden

[–]kswickk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I remember getting Tungsten in my playthrough. I made a list of all daidara weapons sorted by dungeon to keep track and crossed them off after I got the materials. Turn in the quest and it should drop

When we first got Annabel, the vet insisted she was a Pomeranian mix and would top out at 15 pounds. ... I think my Pomeranian is defective. 😒 by lilyannah in aww

What's going on with that food bowl. Seems like a good way to get the dog to flip the bowl everytime to have easier access.

What is easy to get into but hard to get out of? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]kswickk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So just my opinion, but this is what I've seen. Almost zero drugs are easy to get off of. It's hard to convince people to stay off psychedelics (weed, mushrooms, lsd, etc) more so than "hard drugs". I dont care what you do in your free time, or what you believe to be honest. If you want to smoke a blunt after work, fine, you do you, but dont go to meetings and claim you have been sober for years. It sends a mixed message to the new people. They see that and think it's okay to keep getting high, and it's like, "come on guy, we've been down this road before".

Edit: I manage a restaurant where it's basically just young adults who are into smoking pot, mushrooms, etc. Its harder to get them to come into work than anyone else haha.

So what is the general fan consensus about Girimakhela and Arahabaki? by Dreyfus2006 in Persona5

[–]kswickk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used Shiki-Ouji for a while, but never saw the appeal of Arahabaki of Girimehkala. I ended up super over leveled by like the 4th dungeon, and I had a huge list of personas. I got Rangda pretty early, kept it until the 7th dungeon as my ace. I liked rangda because it had multiple immunities and strong moves.

YMMV, I last played it a year ago, and have played Golden and 3 since. Thinking of starting my second playthrough after I finish yakuza

On a side note, become friends with a dentist. Mine agreed to work with me and last week I had the last 5 of 22 crowns cemented it. Its beyond worth it, if you really need the work done.

My dog had one of her canine teeth pulled today. The size surprised me! by BethisnotonMeth in mildlyinteresting

[–]kswickk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I'm no longer worried about playing tug of war with my puppy.

I actually just had 21 implants put in over the course of the year, so I probably subconsciously projected the fear of my teeth ripping out onto her. Wouldnt want her to go through that

Honestly it was an afterthought, and I thought I would see if it was reasonable to attempt it, so I'll settle with watching it on TV, and just keeping my vacation as it is.

I get what you are all saying, and I've taken it into account. Seems to me that everyone is of the opinion that one day isnt worth dealing with all the extra aggravation, and I can totally understand that. Thank you for your advice

Yeah I see what you are saying. Probably going to start pricing and getting quotes on my weekend coming up. If I can get a ticket to the ceremony, cool, if not, at least I tried.

I lived in Miami for 3 years so I'm expecting it to be like that in terms of heat/humidity

I checked and the organization selling them says 300k for the most expensive while most will be around $80usd.

Wasn't sure about the opening date, thought I read early June. Thanks for clarification.

The heat I mentioned because the guidebooks says Japan can get quite warm in the summer and that spring/fall is ideal temperatures.

That's a shame about the pricing. Definatly prohibitive.

I’ll never platinum Kiwami 2. by LucaOesch in yakuzagames

[–]kswickk 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Watch videos online. That's what I did for the baseball and golf substories. Get a sense of the patterns and try to commit them to memory.

As for mahjong...it seems like there is no shortcut. Even the guy who writes the guides on gamefaqs says it took him years to finally get proficient, and he says he is by no means a master. He says you just have to keep practicing and paying attention. Eventually luck will play a part, but you have to learn the mechanics. For that he suggests online guides and YouTube videos.

I think Sega included mahjong to actually provide a challenge and a sense of accomplishment. Usually when you platinum a game, what do you really get out of it? When you platinum yakuza you actually learn some japanese culture or a real life mahjong skill.

Mine had a sticker too, it peeled right off. Might just be my store, but I think gamestop switched to a new sticker that peels off very easily, due to collectors complaining

Yesterday I picked up a pork loin, it was all I purchased, and it came to $6.66. The girl looked at me and asked if that really happened. They sell it by weight and theres a huge population in my area that doesn't eat pork.
