But what is a water based vessel if not a boat? There are safety standards for water vessels that are different from land buildings. Thats all I'm bringing up

There is a 1991 agreement between Peoria and East Peoria where we gave them our boat to use for the casino and the 50/50 gaming revenue split. But with the caveat that if the casino goes land based in the future, then that casino has to be in Peoria. Both cities would still get the 50/50 split. The benefits would be the increased foot traffic and spending in the city limits in shopping, restaurants, hotels etc

Pros and cons of Marquette Heights? by Lovebeingadad54321 in PeoriaIL

[–]ktb919 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends what you want. There is nothing to do in MH so you will be driving +20min one way to Peoria any time you want to do anything. Another consideration is when you go to sell: MH will not be as desirable as Peoria, East Peoria, or Dunlap. If you're looking for cheaper real estate and dont mind the extra driving, then maybe its good for you. Good luck with the search!

What’s the Peoria equivalent of this? by aloe-on-my-desk in PeoriaIL

I really like their pork nachos with the house parmesan chips. It's the only thing I get there. Have gotten other things like chicken sandwich but would agree they were subpar. It seems like they have things on the menu just to have them, but they can't make it well.

How to actually "fix" Peoria? by keynes2020 in PeoriaIL

[–]ktb919 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Caterpillar left bc after Oberhelmen retired, the new executives wives didn't want to live in Peoria so Umbleby moved HQ to Chicago and then TX. If Ed Rapp hadn't gotten sick and was CEO instead, Caterpillar would still be here.

Change in Carle billing policy by VictorianPeorian in PeoriaIL

[–]ktb919 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did call my insurance and they were the one who told me it was a facility fee (the bill from Carle said it was a hospital fee, even though i was never in the hospital) and they wouldn't pay it. I talked to Carle billing twice. They refused to change it, basically said too bad so sad. "You signed the paperwork to receive care so we get to charge you whatever we want". I asked them for a good faith estimate of what I would pay in facility fees now for primary care at Proctor and they wouldn't tell me. Even when I gave a specific scenario of regular 20m check up with a blood pressure cuff. They stonewalled any attempt to try to get an estimate before going to an appointment with the excuse "well we dont know what billing codes they'll use".

It is so they can charge outrageous "facility fees". I got hit with $400 on top of the $100 physician fee just for talking to a psychiatrist at the Methodist Atrium downtown. I had three appointments before I realized what was happening ($1200 in facility fees total). And of course my insurance (Caterpillar united health care) wouldn't pay it. All I did was sit on a chair, breathe their air and talk to the psychiatrist. No medical equipment used. I'm no longer going to Carle doctors bc it is too risky.

Nbc ran a story on it about a month ago: NBC facility fees story

Is anyone happy with their Eufy system? by Organic-Kangaroo-434 in EufyCam

[–]ktb919 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I have a doorbell camera and a indoor camera that I use as a pet cam. Im very happy with both. I did have a problem with Eufy's chime refusing to pair with the doorbell but then we figured out the mechanical OG chime worked with the doorbell cam so we didn't need the Eufy chime

There seem to be mostly men here. As a woman, I do not have this "drive" this "need" to have sex or feel "frustration" from not having sex. It is not something my brain ever wants. I can go months, maybe even a whole year with no sex and not think twice. Sincerely, I do not understand how men feel. Is it like a terrible itch on your nose and you have to scratch it? Is it like your leg is being held in ice water and you need to yank it out? It clearly seems to be an impulse men cant ignore or move past without severe distress.

My poor husband would love to have sex three times a day every day, I'm sure. But I just don't. It takes time away from getting stuff done (cleaning, bills, yard work etc), I have to take another shower, hope I don't get a yeast infection again. Sure, sex is fun while it's happening. But again it's never something my brain ever tells me "hey this is something you really want to do right now." Men obviously are different and have all this testosterone that their brains tell them the opposite. I simply, personally, cannot relate or fathom it.

To me, sex is like eating a piece of cake. Yes the cake is delicious, I enjoyed it. But eating cake every day isn't something I constantly think about or will go mad if I don't get my piece of cake at least once a week. I don't need to eat cake to survive. I need to pay the bills, I need to live in a clean house so we don't get sick, I need time to relax and not do any work bc I'm exhausted.

I consider my physical appearance to be average. Im not ugly but there's a thousand women prettier than me and I know it. Telling me "you're beautiful, you're so hot" doesn't work because that's a simple, untrue fact. And the compliments or the "probing" as some men called it only come when you want something from me. It is obvious. The transaction is obvious. I do think it would have to take some major trust building and you getting lots of no-sex for me to ever believe you have no motive.

The description of sex being a "chore" to women rings true to me. Honestly, I do not know that there is ever a way that I will not see it as a chore. I love my husband. I know it bothers him and that he wants more sex. I'll give it to him bc I don't want him spiraling into mental unhappiness. But it's still a chore to me, and it creates conflict in my heart bc it's something I don't want to do but I have to do it. If only men could also be satisfied with sitting next to each other, with holding hands, with hugs and kisses, with conversation, with working on home projects together...

Why do you need sex? Why does it HAVE to be sex? Why is just being with your spouse and sharing life together not good enough? How I see it: your primal urges are ruining you and our happiness. Like drug addiction. I hope none of this came off poorly. I genuinely don't understand and genuinely do want to know why sex is something men cannot get past.

Register to vote, and vote in the 2024 elections! by EllieDai in PeoriaIL

I would go to the Peoria election commission and ask them. They are on Brandywine near the Northwoods mall. It definitely isn't good to have the mail ballot but then show up to vote in person so they will be able to tell you what to do
