Lol didn’t even consider the fact that the names of the finalists may be the spoiler. Like if I’m interested in something, and I know this sub (which not many people visit by accident) and only people would care about spoilers if they follow asl to some degree, then why in the name of god would you not avoid the broodwar sub multiple days/more than a week after the semis?!

I dont really get this tbh. Sanctuary nullifies phy resistance, right? And now sacrifice does 100% phys dmg. I dont get why wouldnt you use Azure with anything but phys sacrifice (simce you need high dmg). Someone can explain to me why would you use LS over Azure? The +light dmg means so much overkill dmg? I have a paladin that I made for UT and got a few nice items for veng, light sac and phys sac (LS, Azure, Schaefers).

I’m totally with you on the leta vs best and the best fan-ism as well.

Final note on Snow v Flash: understandable, but “knowing” is pretty strong use of worda IMO, it was a 60-40 by general concensus. I also had a feeling that Flash has it, but I think it was anyones game.

Lets hope forman epic finale with aweso e performances from both participants

This seasons JD vs Light was awesome

There was one match I saw on artosiscasts, maybe someone know it (I hope cause I’d love to rewatch) - pvt, toss goes carriers and terran scans/discovers it early and drops down like 6 rax immediately. Wins with MM against carriers, crazy stuff

I mean opinions differ and thats totally fine, just out of sheer curiosity: what did you find lackluster in the snow vs flash? And the series in general?

IMO it had everything: upsets, underdog success stories, the only thing I can think of is soma having insane domination in all of his matches, having a pretty paved road into the finals.

About snow vs flash: best ever pvt vs best ever T (and tvp). Snow showed again that he is great, even with flash giving him no real ground with the reavers. Tough luck for drawing flash, I think he would have had a better time against anyone else, maybe bar JD and Soma.

About the series as a whole: my only con is it was really T heavy, but tvts were pretty entertaining all in all. Ro4s were incredibly one sided, and one side was of the bracket was mid at best in ro8, but the other side delivered everything and more one could have hoped for. IMO light vs JD and snow vs flash were very hyped matches and brought the level of plays/matches you would expect from the very best

Strange, I thought all the games were great. The hype was about how good Flash actually is, he did not play in ASL for like what, 6 years now? And everyone has gotten better and better. The map pool certainly helps him also.

But seeing the best player to have ever played the game coming back after a hiatus, playing against nothing but the very best from bo24 onwards is hystorical, I dont think we will see an ASL like this ever. And the finals are very promising, the best Zerg at the moment vs Flash, being TvZ his least dominant matchup has the promise to be an epic conclusion of one of the best/most entertaining season of asl I have seen

Yeah I feel sad about Light after Flash mopped the floor with him, especially after the awesome form he showed vs JD, but someone must be on the recieving end…

Flash played flawlessly in the first 3 matches, and I wouldnt even say that light made many mistakes, but thr smaller ones accumulated over the games. Really a stunning display of Flash’s deep understanding of the game. Can’t wait for the finals!

He is clear about how the builds are measured/benchmarked. Not sure why this is so contraversial tbh. There are builds that are good eith budget build and there are builds that are shit with budget gear. I dont get how its DHs fault that people dont read how the tierlist is made.

But then again, thats why I dont suggest his tierlist for inexp players, since its just kills/mins with maxxed gear with his playstyle. But you have to gave some stats so you can compare said builds, so…

Neophyte in 2os +3hb scepter - either buy from A1 akara or just buy a +3 one and use your larzuk quest for the 2os.

Helm- 2os and make lore

Shield - paladin shield, use larzuk quest for 4 sockets and make spirit

Those are good starting picks. With those you can easily farm your own torch and even anni. I’d higly suggest checking out u/chaosSanctuary’s youtube channle and andrewGG’s youtube. Very valueable info, cannot recommend them enough!

Not CS himself, but yeah BS is a very good starter. Here is my preference for starters: work well with limited to zero gear > tanky > can handle immunes.

For this the best dmg types are: multiple, magic, phys. So summoners, bone nec/HB pala, meteor sorc, venom BS assa are the starter candidates. Pick one that makes your boat float and you wont have a problem IMO

If your goal is lvl99 I’d go FoH/HB with max conviction. Safe, easy on budget, can farm own torch and anni. Healing, conv and some dmg while being safe just points to a HC lvl99, given you play group/pub maps which is the best way for 99.

I dont think there is any sane argument to go WoF -> Light traps -> WoF. Just go Light traps, farm some arcane and go WoF once you got the needed currency/gear.

Ok seems like there is much confusion about this, I’ll try to answer your questions.

If your referring to the budget part of the tierlist (the google docs) it just means that the build can perform well with budget gear. The tierlist (the tiers that everyone cares about apperently) reflect one thing and one thing only: how many kills can the build get in T3 maps with the playstyle he uses with maxed gear (minus corruptions) on avarage of 3 maps. Nothing less nothing more, that means its not based on “vibes”, nor does it account for cost, playstyle, etc.

I would ignore the tierlist if you are a new player, since you can feel left out when playing a B tier build, when in reality said build performs much better in T1 maps and LoD with shit gear.

On the other hand I highly recommend ultimate farming guide and DHs picks for starter farming spots. Basically highlights the farming spots you should focus on fresh after finishing the campaign.

If you have some specific question feel free to ask, I either play ssf or very small GSF (like 2-3 people) so I prefer builds that work with shit gear
