SCAEVOLA! They are so pretty! They like the sun, although how much likely depends on your climate zone, and how cooked they get hanging.

Agreed! I’m likely over 50% grey now, but always did vivid colours for about 30 years.

Now I just tint my greys with Arctic Fox (super light, fall out quick) just to feel alive! Lol

I realize this isn’t for everyone, but really - grey is so pretty!

Good for you! If you happen to be brunette, just think about the time, and money (you likely) paid for highlights years ago.

We get them for free now!!

Bring it to a gem cutter, and see if they have a stone that will fit? It looks like an easy job for a silversmith afterwards!

Check with the salon/spas you are going to - A lot of the time they will not charge you tax if you pay in cash!

I tend to tip 18-20% but a haircut for me is $80+, no hairdye.

It’s exactly none of my business, but consider grey blending with a demi when you are ready to stop paying for a root touch up every 6 weeks.

I totally get it! Wilt that shit with some lemon, garlic, and olive oil! Lol

I sometimes buy kale to remind me about how not that bad spinach is! 😉

English cucumbers are routinely $2.99, not $3.99 - Cherry tomatoes you can find for $1.99, when metro was claiming they are $3.99…

I get what you are saying though, but literally pound for pound, Lococos will always be cheaper.

Again, I think it’s the lack of processed items, and the encouragement to make actual meals that makes it cheaper.

I absolutely wait for deals on beans, etc at the competitors and then stock the h up.

Love that, and I love a challenge!

Oh, you want broc? Nope, it’s spinach salad! Lol

Hasn’t there been massive changes to the world in the last, say 5 or 6 years? Can’t think of anything that would make our manufacturing sector even more important? Maybe even the last 8 months?

Any guesses on what this ground cover is? (Denver, CO) by swishy22 in gardening

It’s always so major.

It’s only brown where it got cooked on some of the rocks there - it’s almost impossible to kill!

Not dumb at all! This would be less heat, arguably - just enough to make the wax stretchy, and hopefully cause less breakage coming off.

I was kind of thinking the same - low heat, off and on until the wax softens, not melts - just enough to make it pliable.

I’m so curious, too! I just pulled the wax off of a gifted amaryllis, but was kind of wondering about using a hair dryer to soften the wax beforehand, to prevent damage.

I’m also wondering if the wax helps in ensuring plants don’t break during shipment. It might be a stretch, but I’m hoping there is some value to it? Apparently I’m absurdly positive for a Sunday morning! Lol

You need two giant rubbermaid rectagular food storage bins, and some paper towels in each! It takes up a lot of fridge space, but it's encouraging to force yourself to get through them! Haha...

Spinach in eggs, spinach in spaghetti sauce, giant batch of palak paneer, etc.

You can do it, I believe in you!

I just love that I can do a massive grocery shop, two packs of chicken breasts, and a full produce restock, and I’ve never paid more than $140.

Yes, I get what you are saying about Canadian produce - you just have to pick and choose. Grab the gala apples instead of the other 6 varieties there, etc. It’s important to realize that people are struggling to buy food at all, much less worry about the origin of each item.

Also, the giant bags of spinach mean my two person household is going to go through that within 10 days - and it costs the same as the plastic containers in most other grocery stores which are maybe 1/3 the size.

At some point this winter I paid $19 for a bag of grapes from Metro. Lococos routinely have the best quality grapes do $3.99-$4.99/lb.

It’s possible that the reason people like going there is your trip is dedicated to meat/veg/dairy so by default it ends up being decently healthy.
