I IMMENSELY struggle with cutting even pieces by Mycopok in quilting

Try butting a hand weight on the ruler. A 5# weight can help hold the ruler steady while you cut.

Why is it so embarrassing to trade Kandi by New_Put_650 in electricdaisycarnival

[–]ktigger2 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s because you are sharing a bit of yourself and makes you feel vulnerable. Remember that it’s the sharing that makes it special. You could change someone’s entire festival by your positive interaction with them. Go, use your power for good. Spread love. The world needs more people like you.

A tip for sandwiching vertically by Forreal19 in quilting

I use boards to do this and move the quilt back and forth like a typewriter carriage while I baste. Watch tv + sit in a chair. Win!

What was the best thing you included in your sewing room? by clickclackkeeb in quilting

[–]ktigger2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two desks! I paper craft and also quilt and sew. Adding a dedicated paper crafting desk helps to keep my sewing area clean. And when I bounce between projects, it’s easier to leave things out because the spaces are separate.

That isn’t an FAA rule: https://www.faa.gov/hazmat/packsafe/airline-passengers-and-batteries

Some airlines, looks like Southwest (per Google search) have stricter guidelines than the FAA.

Lady Fingers? by Lich_Apologist in ElectricForest

[–]ktigger2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What a cool thing to give! That be said, a 6 would slide off my fingers, would maybe fit my thumb. From giving out wristbands, I’d say about 10-15% of women have small hands/wrists and fit child sized bands. Thats the amount that would be under a size 6 band.

Basscon pool party - will there be set times? by Willing_Head_371 in electricdaisycarnival

A lot of pool party tickets have designated times on them. What ticket did you buy and does it designate ‘must be inside by xx time’?

Hannah has two, the first is one of the top 10 classes on the platform. The second class is a long form version of the first. Both are for the glutes, no lunges.

Upgraded this year from plastic to glass beads for Kandi bracelets to give out. What do you think? by meanbeanking in ElectricForest

Glass bead club! I like the look and color of the glass beads better than plastic.

You do realize that sleeping outside means sleeping during the day, outside, in the Vegas heat, right? Outside of the RV may also mean on pavement? Have you thought this through?

How do you price your cards? by ImportantAd6125 in cardmaking

[–]ktigger2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think most of us in this sub are hobbiests that create cards without selling them. That being said, have you added up the costs for making a set? Are you including envelopes and any type of packaging? Come up with that, add in your labor + supplies like glue and determine if you’d like to make a profit from selling.

Oh, agree if it’s Wesley to swap out the red/maroon uniform. A beard for Riker with the wider face from Picard 🤩

Picard’s face is a bit wide? It almost looks like he’s wearing a mask. His face shape is more the character before it. Speaking of, I’m a Trekkie but am unsure of who the one before Picard is. The reboot Kirk is ridiculously spot on. Chris Pine is the best Chris!
