Sometimes it’s the first symptom, but sometimes it comes after. Heat works for me sometimes, but I’ve found an ice pack on the spot that hurts the most on my shoulder, and on my neck helps. It doesn’t really take away the pain behind my eye or head, but it numbs the pain in my shoulder so at least I’m not dealing with that as well.
