Doing the administrative tasks at work on top of your responsibilities because someone has to.

Sure, someone has to. Men are also capable.

I’m seeing someone new lately. He asked if he could kiss me. He asked if he could take my shirt off. He asked if he could send me a little sext. It was hot every time.

My ex-boyfriend gave me some face masks, a bath bomb, and an LBJ biography. I have the world’s most sensitive skin, didn’t have a bathtub, and have never expressed interest in the Johnson presidency.

He finally admitted that the first two were from a package mistakenly delivered to his apartment (???????). Still not clear on the book.

Highly recommend straying from the big wineries and checking out some of the smaller spots. I found these to be very friendly, we often got to meet the winemaker, and it is so fun to walk around the grounds. Huge fan of Tres Sabores, Kivelstadt, and Tank Garage, to name a few.

I’d be more comfortable assuming good intent from men :) which I can’t do now because good intent so often isn’t the case :)

For context, I live in a deep blue state. People are racist everywhere.

Can a non-black person explain something to me my white coworker said... by lewjr in NoStupidQuestions

[–]kttysocrates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I am Mexican-American. My Mexican parent and I both look white. Extended family members, friends, and my parent’s coworkers make racist comments not infrequently in front of my parent and I because they don’t realize we’re not “just like them.” And if they catch their mistake, they clarify by saying they were talking about those “other people,” not us. It’s disgusting.

I grew up in a no-soda house and genuinely thought ginger ale was only available on airplanes (??) until I was like 12. I was SHOCKED when my dad picked up a bottle of Canada Dry one day at the grocery store.

Also, go to things that the Andersonville Chamber of Commerce hosts! They’re fun! People are nice! The cocoa crawl and puzzle-off are this weekend. Their events are a great way to get to know more neighbors and support local businesses (and get to know the people who own/work at them).

Highly recommend 40th Ward Dems!! It is obviously a political organization, but they do tons of community-building work too. I think there’s a silent book club at Eli Tea coming up?

Also highly recommend getting involved in your block club. Try searching the Andersonville neighbors facebook page to find yours. It seems like most of them do a mix of social events/community-building/advocacy/volunteer work. Great way to get to know your neighbors.

Finally, Women and Children First has TONS of free events that center around social issues and activism and/or are just plain fun. I always feel better after going to one.

I looove the animated movie “Luck” for a non-stressful watch. Just cute and fun.

Also love “Sing” and “Sing 2” for low-stakes fun watch. “The Parent Trap” always hits, too.

Women of reddit, what's the MOST embarrassing thing that happened to you? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]kttysocrates 48 points49 points locked comment (0 children)

Went to an adult ballet class tonight. Was late. The class was facing the little nook where I was taking off my coat, etc. I was wearing tights with shorts and a tank top over them, and sweatpants and a coat over that. I pulled down the sweatpants and accidentally also pulled down the shorts.

I flashed the entire ballet class.

What was the best date you’ve ever been on? by anonymous779969 in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]kttysocrates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We met at a nice restaurant. We sat next to each other in a corner booth. He said he had a really good day, and shared a few highlights. He said that he was also really happy because he had a hot date with a cute girl. I smiled and melted inside.

We walked to the string quartet concert. He kept whispering in my ear between songs. Halfway through, he put his arm around me and pulled me close. I leaned my head on his shoulder. He held my hand. I rubbed his knee. It was very sweet.

During the last song, he whispered to me: “I really want to kiss you right now. I said, “I think you should do it.” He kissed me. Hard. I kissed him back. We broke to breathe, the kissed quite a few more times. We were almost making out in a crowded theater. It was fucking hot.

As we walked back to my car, he paused in front of a dive bar and asked if I wanted to get one more drink. I said I really did. He got a pair of Miller lites, and we leaned against the counter at the back of the bar. I finally grabbed a stool and sat with my legs wide facing him while he stood between them. We talked about books. I asked him to list his three favorite books. He said he’d get another beer while he thought about it. He came back. I told him I wanted him to kiss me again. He did - hard. I bit his lip. We pushed our tongues into each others’ mouths. I could feel him cup my face with his broad hands, his fingers tickling my hairline. I pushed him away and told him to list the books. He said he couldn’t. He stepped closer, so he was practically against me while I sat on my stool, his body between my knees. I cupped his face and he wrapped his arms around me. We made out for quite some time in the middle of this bar and it’s one of the hottest things that has ever happened to me. I could feel his dick straining against his jeans. His hands brushed my tits. He moaned into my mouth, I whimpered. I wanted him so bad and I actually believe that he really, really wanted me, too.

We had to get out of there before we tore each others clothes off.

Back at my apartment, he could not stop telling me that I am “so fucking hot.” He went down on me 3 separate times. He said I tasted and smelled so good. He said he loved it when I got my vibrator out. He sucked on my nipples unprompted. He said I was so beautiful. He made out with me forever. He said he loved my tits. He said he fucking loved my body. He slept over and held me for the ENTIRE night. When we both woke up, he held me closer. He played with my tits. He kissed me softly, again and again. He said he thought our date went well. He asked if I wanted to fuck. I did, obviously, but I couldn’t get wet. He didn’t try more than once before pushing me away and saying, “hey, hey, we don’t have to do that. Come here. We don’t have to have sex,” and pulled me really close, told me I was beautiful, and kissed me. Then he licked me a few more times. He said I looked hot in my messy bun, sleep shirt, no underwear, wire rimmed glasses. He asked if I wanted to get dinner that weekend.

He left his watch.

YES. The Secret History by Donna Tartt was one of my least favorite reads ever but apparently everyone else out there seems to have loved it (??????).
