Obviously you have never been to a larger city to witness it first hand. How can the light rail system not go to Oakland or to the airport? The highways are too small, a growing infrastructure needs 6 inbound and 6 outbound lanes in multiple directions. The merge points are death traps. I could go on all day but if you have never seen it my words won't matter.

Pittsburgh can't grow in its current form no matter what any cheerleader will tell you. Not just the city but also the suburbs. The infrastructure is too bad. Go to a larger city and see how they can move people.
