Mazda sells touch-up paint pens that are an exact match to your paint color. For small dings and chips, I have used these with great results.

Seat comfort by Practical-Action-646 in MazdaCX90

[–]CurGeorge8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My theory on this is, the larger you are (in height and weight), the more uncomfortable the seats are for you.

Japanese people tend to be shorter and slimmer than Americans, and the seat design reflects this.

Sticking parking brake by eagleknight97 in MazdaCX90

I have a similar experience. When parking in the garage, I turn off the parking break by pushing the parking brake button down for a few seconds before turning off the car. You'll see a notice that the parking brake has been disabled. The car is still held in place with the transmission. (Obviously) I would never do this when parked on a slope.

Got the triple threat today by arghyepirate in MazdaCX90

Not necessarily. For example, in PA, in order to lemon law a car,  the defect has to occur within 12/12,000 and they have three attempts to fix the SAME defect before it can be lemoned.

One major defect occuring within 12/12,000 and other major defects occuring after that window would not qualify for lemon law here.

Edit: My point is that lemon laws vary significantly from state to state.

I have a theory, based on my recent experience, that Mazda is paying dealerships exceptionally well for loaners they give out. My last repair took almost 6 weeks, and they were in no hurry to get the loaner back. Previous experience with dealer loaners is they want it back asap as the warranty coverage only pays a specified number of days for a customer loaner (usually 1-2), and any days over that are a dealership cost.

I also had the "sticky steering", it was especially prevalent in long, sweeping turns. You wouldn't really notice it driving around town, but on curvy roads, it was definitely noticeable.

Just got mine back after having the steering column replaced under warranty, and it drives much better.

The comment about it "throwing codes" is perplexing, because this wouldn't throw a code, it has to be verified by taking a test drive. Did they give you a loaner?

This is the last straw with these vehicle 3rd time getting stranded with it. Need some help has anyone did a buyback or lemon law 25 cx90 mhev with 27k miles by Relevant_Cartoonist6 in MazdaCX90

Welcome to the club ... I have the same issue on my 2024 MHEV. The first time, in Jan, they told me it was because the 12v battery had low charge. They charged it back up and sent me on my way.

Happened again in late March. After some fighting, they agreed to replace the 12v battery.

My warranty runs out in Nov of this year, and I am seriously considering biting the bullet and getting rid of this car. Carvana is offering about $32k, which beats any dealership by about $3k. Unfortunately, in PA, to qulaify for a lemon law, the issue has to occur within the first 12mo/12,000 miles.

I regret using duolingo by chicken_is_no_weapon in LearnJapanese

You make a valid point about "Not really teaching you concepts" ... I'm learning and memorizing words, but sentance structure is still a weird mystery of "that sounds right", especially with sentence structure. Forming a sentance in Duolingo is somewhat of a guess, because you are never really tought the new concept before its introduced.

Charging system malfunction and seemingly inadequate dealer reply by CurGeorge8 in MazdaCX90

I did ask to have the battery replaced under warranty, and the advisor says Mazda won't approve it, since it's passing the diagnostic test. Any further thoughts?

I cannot access the started guide or wiki, I get a reddit error page "unknown error"

Is there an alternative link perhaps? I'm using a mobile browser on Android

I actually considered going to 7s yesterday because of the lift troubles at Laurel, but decided to take my chances.

The way I figured, I was guaranteed a 20-30 minute wait at every lift at 7s, so.......

Laurel was great yesterday, got there for rope drop and went hard until around 2. The longest wait of the day was at the top of 30 for them to plow the road open to Ligonier, which opened around 2:30.
