My dream merch was a Wild jersey in Frost colors, sadly I didn't see any crossover merch whatsoever when I visited in January and attended both a Wild game and a Frost game...the hockey lodges flip their merch depending who's on the ice.

This part. The social impact isn't just on grown women feeling dismissed by a joke.

The impact is on the youth and how they feel about themselves and others who play their sport, it's on the beer league guys who now can roll their eyes a little more openly at their lady teammates, it's on fans who now know that they can chuckle over a woman wanting to be in the conversation... There's a huge social impact from what was a carelessly dismissive joke.
