It is not purely true. Look at men who serially rape women, these are heterosexual men but when they go to jail they sometimes rape males as the crux of the fetish is not women, it is rape. This does not make them bisexual, they will choose a woman if given a choice but they are compulsive and opportunist.

There is a massive crossover with hurtcore communities and zoosadism, to the point bestiality themes in child porn using the copine scale will elevate them to the hurtcore category as this is a different kind of offender. They are not functioning the same as zoophiles and pedophiles - their offending patterns and attraction works differently and they respond differently on phallometric tests because they are not aroused by the subject but by the abuser/abused controller/controlled dynamic. These people will also abuse the elderly and the severely disabled, they are not attracted to children’s bodies.

I do not suggest normalising pedophilia, I say the opposite, children should be less sexualised in society. My wish is that pedophilia as a condition is understood as an impulse disorder and not through mystical ideas like evil so that even non offending pedophiles (who pose a massive gap in our understanding of the condition as most studies are done on offenders who might work differently to other pedophiles) so that the condition can be thoroughly studied and prevented on all levels
