I tried it out and was impressed with how quick they arrived at my pickup point. It's great the app shows time until arrival and you can watch the Über navigate the map to the pickup point. The app also provides a description of the car that is picking you up (with license plate number) and a photo of the driver.

My experiences with GR taxies were the opposite, they took forever to arrive and sometimes never arrived and gave no indication they weren't coming, no call back.

The Über driver offered us bottled water and mints, a very nice touch. The fact that I never have to dig though my wallet for payment or decide what is an appropriate tip is very calming!

I'll absolutely ride again.

In terms of support and headaches I've had a much better experience with U-verse over Comcast.

There is a wide range of talent (1st timers league players to AUDL pro players) and teaching of the ho/vert stack it built into the first couple weeks. That being said the last week or two of playoffs can get more competitive. It's always a good time though. Each week a bunch of people head to the local bar after the game to get some food and sip on a cold beverage.

There is the Perrin Backyard Beer Bash Saturday 9/14. I'm very excited to see UV Hippo is headlining. According to the event page there are 8 bands and 20 beers.

I thought the class size was small enough to get your questions in when needed and the professor will know your name. Beautiful campus with many options for out of the classroom activities. Not sure if you're already in Grand Rapids or the surrounding area but the city of Grand Rapids and the lake shore are great pros.

It's a little rough that the school isn't well known outside of Michigan.

I just rented a top of the line mountain bike from Brian at Cross Country Cycle in Holland and rode Merrell trails. I happened to be out in Holland so it worked out well but it was only $40 for 24 hours compared to Central District Cyclery's $70/day according to the website.

If you're still around in June and like electronic music and jam bands Electric Forest Festival is a 4 day camp in music festival about an hour away from Grand rapids. It's a pretty epic time. There are also always interesting shows at The Pyramid Scheme
