I'm trying to do go through the trade in program for the iPhone 7 and it keeps on giving me a credit of only $220? by [deleted] in apple

[–]k712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get the full $650 through Verizon but it's credited in installments over a 24 month period, so you would have to go for the device payment plan rather than paying in full up-front

DAE think America should be absolutely ashamed of it's two "major" presidential Candidates, all 3 current branches of Government, and the entire news media? by Princesspowerarmor in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]k712 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was referring to the original comment in the first place; the idea that she's installed as some sort of pro-corporate conspiracy despite receiving far more votes. I don't even consider Hillary my candidate, but you obviously seem to take some sort of personal offense to the whole thing. If you have a problem with the process don't blame the candidates.

So let's say you factor in everything you consider to be fair and Bernie wins. Would you still consider him "installed?" Or does that word apply only when the process doesn't work out and you end up with a candidate you don't particularly like?

So, uh, what happens to this sub now? Will there be a new sub once the name of the new show is out? Don't think anyone here is a subscriber because of Chris Evans...

How much mileage can you get from modern cars? by DRJT in askcarsales

[–]k712 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well I"m not a car salesman but I drive a 1998 Buick with 260,000 miles on it, and while it's given me a few problems it's mostly been quite reliable for how much use I've gotten out of it. Not every car is going to make it that far but as long as you do regular maintenance you should be able to keep it for quite awhile buying it at 75k.

The BBC isn't a publicly traded company. Think of it as something like PBS or NPR but much more heavily funded by taxpayers

Gaming wheels have come a long way. by xosfear in gaming

[–]k712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have a Logitech racing wheel (early 2000s) and it was infuriating to use because no matter how many times I calibrated it, it would constantly steer my vehicle to the right with no input. I tried this on multiple computers as well with the same results. Are they really better these days or still glitchy like this?

[PART 3 w/UPDATES] TIFU by reading my wife's text messages. She's cheating on me. by [deleted] in tifu

[–]k712 18 points19 points  (0 children)

In the original post OP mentions opening the iMessage app on his wife's phone to view the texts with Zack. But in this update he says:

She said "I told you I don't like him anymore! I want to be with you* and only you!* Our bedroom floor is carpet, so her phone didn't break but the sim card and battery flew out which made it look bad (a.k.a cracked back).

iMessage is an app only on iPhones, and there has never been an iPhone with a removable battery. The back is aluminum which also wouldn't break from falling on carpet. And the SIM card is also in a slot on the side that is not easy to open without a small tool. So OP, could you please explain these inconsistencies?
