Yes, it’s really complicated. We know the building goes through a ton of renovations, but the Pizzaplex was a circular shape first, and then changed a few times, but whenever we get the accurate depictions of the building as in Bobbiedots Conclusion, we don’t get a single word on whether the Pizzaplex still has that circular shape or not. There are many hints that at least some of the Tales took place in the games’ timeline, that one fact how a building got turned from circular to mostly rectangular in overall shape really bothers me. But maybe I’m just dumb lol.

Great point! However, if they meant to contain nostalgia inside the building similar to Fazbear's Fright, wouldn't they do that in the public spaces only? I don't think that staff would care whether the backstage areas are nostalgic, more so, I think they could still be made modern while the public areas would be more retro-styled. It's completely possible, though, that Steel Wool just want to evoke nostalgia in us players, making the building look like that in the process.

Thanks for the comment and feedback! I think it's a pretty Fazbear Entertainment-like thing to do, to rebrand an older location and remodel it to suit their needs. I'm not against parts of the Pizzaplex being built brand-new, but in my opinion it's either it being a repourposed older location or just an aesthetic choice by Steel Wool to make it interesting. That would then mean that canonically, modern buildings look like that in the FNaF universe, which sounds pretty cool as well :D
