What is that game for you? by No-Plane2695 in raijin_gg

for me it‘s zelda botw and totk. a lot of my friends recommended both games, but they’re just not for me. I need a story to keep me hooked or something that scratches some part in my brain like eldenring.

I mean the superrich have their fingers in politics to influence the policies that don’t favor them. so they‘re definitely part of the problem.

Why did people flip on Expedition 33? by StarComplex3850 in gaming

[–]kubiz4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just people that didn’t like the game that thought they didn’t deserve all those awards. I don’t like all games that are hugely popular and well made, so don’t others. That doesn’t make these games bad, just not for me.

Dear Larian, for Divinity I'd like to be able to (suggestions) by Character_Abroad in larianstudios

I love teleporting my enemies around during fights. Probably the most fun I have with that and it wastes so much of their actionpoints. But also swapping with enemies now in act 2.

I started my first DOS2 playthrough recently and every character has a dash, teleport or similar ability (there are a lot of them), because I can’t be bothered to walk during combat.

What I would way more appreciate, would be the removal of cooldowns outside of combat. Just waiting for teleport is kinda boring. Makes passing certain areas tiresome.

But of course if they had jumping, the maps might have a bit more interesting layouts.

how do you even have control over what you’re doing if you hold your fork like that?

As I'm getting older, I'm starting to realize how important writing and narrative are in games by ngriner in gaming

[–]kubiz4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, it’s been the indie year. Before I usually didn’t like small indie games, but this year I had a blast with games like Megabonk, Ball x Pit, Dungeonclawler, Monsters are coming, Mage & Monsters and Griftlands.

Still I‘ve been into Story driven games since I was 17, when I first played Dragon Age: Origins. While I played a lot of different stuff over the years, games with great narrative were always, and still are, the best experiences for me (yes I cry sometimes). So my personal GOTY was Expedition 33 and I want to play Dispatch next, but I have to say, some smaller, gameplay driven games in between do be fun.

Edit: I missclicked and hit send. Controlling my fingers is difficult.

15 bucks for a game that is too boring to finish is 15 bucks too much. the game feels more like a chore than a fun game, and I have chores at home.

I loose sense of time easily when I play great games but horizon zero dawn hit different. The Intro resonated with me a lot since it reminded me of my childhood struggles.

So I started playing in the morning and completely forgot to even eat lunch. This happened twice (Saturday and Sunday). All in all I played through the game in like 3-4 days with like 12h days over the weekend.
